Twitter leaves behind the bluebird and owns X as its new logo. Just a day before, Twitter head Elon Musk disclosed the transformation to take place, Twitter already transformed. The change began with Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino sharing the new logo and Musk updating his profile picture with X while sharing the image of headquarters reflecting the new logo on their official accounts.

While Twitter head Elon Musk captioned his tweet - Our headquarters tonight

Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino tweeted with the caption - X is here! Let’s do this. She kept sharing:

“It’s an exceptionally rare thing – in life or in business – that you get a second chance to make another big impression. Twitter made one massive impression and changed the way we communicate. Now, X will go further, transforming the global town square.

X is the future state of unlimited interactivity – centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking – creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Powered by AI, X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine.

For years, fans and critics alike have pushed Twitter to dream bigger, to innovate faster, and to fulfill our great potential. X will do that and more. We’ve already started to see X take shape over the past 8 months through our rapid feature launches, but we’re just getting started.

There’s absolutely no limit to this transformation. X will be the platform that can deliver, well….everything. Elon Musk and I are looking forward to working with our teams and every single one of our partners to bring X to the world.”

Twitter Headquarters Lit With “X”

To celebrate and announce the new beginning, Musk, and Yaccarino shared two different images of their San Francisco headquarters building lit up with the new logo “X”. Now twitter.com is redirected to X.com, and the name of the Twitter handle is replaced with X.

The company is underway of the biggest change of its 17 years of history. However, the bluebird logo is still visible in several places. YouTuber Marques Brownlee shared a tweet “I'm still gonna call it Twitter,” Musk replied, “Not for long,” which directly indicates the name is also going to be changed.

Musk also shared the logo in a way to celebrate the change.

As per Reuters, the sudden change is the result of Musk’s recent admission about advertising revenue remains at half of what used to be earlier. Also, the cash flow is running negative resulting in a heavy debt load.

Every day there is a new trend on Twitter, this time Twitter itself is trending with unique and creative memes. Some users are suggesting new logos combining the bluebird and X altogether, while some are bidding goodbye to the bluebird at the same time, some of the loyal user base is just not happy with the change and sharing fun tweets.
