“ViewSonic Is Currently the Fastest Growing Monitor Brand in India”

The demand for innovative and high-performance monitors has tremendously increased in last couple of years due to growth in various market segments. The market of advanced monitors has observed a significant growth which has provided tech brands huge opportunities to increase their presence and achieve better results. ViewSonic is one of the prominent market players offering the wide range of monitors for various consumer segments. Recently, Rajeev Ranjan, Editor, Digital Terminal recently spoke exclusively to Sanjoy Bhattacharya, Director Sales and Marketing –IT Business, ViewSonic India. Putting across his views on the market landscape, Sanjoy further elaborated about their product strategy, channel infrastructure, service support and roadmap to fuel the growing in FY 2022. Read below the excerpts:

Rajeev: How is ViewSonic currently positioned in the monitor market? How do you plan to grow your business further in FY 2022?

Sanjoy: ViewSonic has been liked by customers in India, and now ViewSonic in a year is currently the fastest growing monitor brand with a vast range of monitors belonging to different categories. As a company we have always strived hard to come up with innovation and technologies for our fast-paced customers along with new trends which a technology oriented company does. In the year 2021 we achieved an average CAGR of more than 100% growth quarter and quarter. We have also managed to attain more than 3% value market share in India in the mid and premium segment.

In terms of technology and range of products, we are leading almost every segment in the market. With ColourPro, Gaming, Workspace and Entertainment series; ViewSonic is the only visual-solution company in India that has a product catalogue offering a wide array of monitor solutions catering to the extensive audience and the ever-changing needs multipurpose requirements.

Rajeev: What is your view on the surging demand for gaming monitors? How does ViewSonic plan to cater to the fast-evolving gaming market?

Sanjoy: Gaming has been the most dynamic and high demand segment since the last few years. The segment has picked up pace owing to the popularity and entry of the professional gaming/E-sports competitions.

Leading the trend at the forefront, ViewSonic observes as a huge opportunity to grow by providing the best of our gaming monitors to our customers. Last year we launched our Elite Gaming monitor (XG270Q) in our Elite gaming series. The monitor is equipped with a refresh rate of 165hz and a response time of 1ms (GtG). The 27-inch monitor also comes with IPS G-sync as well as a verified NVIDIA’s G-SYNC compatible technology that ensures an effortless gameplay within even the fastest scenarios.

This year we also plan to expand the segment with the launch of new monitors in the professional gaming range. The aim to provide the high speed IPS, amazing refresh rate, dynamic colours and comfort to all our consumers for a seamless

Rajeev: What is your current channel strength? Are you planning to add more partners for expanding your reach in the market in 2022?

Sanjoy: Channels serves as the one of the most crucial aspects of our brand and strengthen building exercise. The current channel strength is spread across all major Tier 1 markets and we further plan to expand our reach across tier 2 and tier 3 cities in the near future. Our industry first initiatives, Power-play app and the Price Parity Programme are specially designed to support the channel partners with updates and additional information via app on the upcoming launches and newer technologies being adopted by the brand.

In 2022, we also aim to improve customer experience by incorporating demos in key retail outlets in order to offer real-time experience to all the customers and help them make a thoughtful choice when purchasing a monitor.

Rajeev: Please tell about your service support commitments for loyal customers? Can you give us a glance at your service support infrastructure?

Sanjoy: Being the market leaders, ViewSonic is one of the most consumer – friendly brands, therefore, providing industry first 3+2 years additional warranty (Except Touch & portable Series). We offer onsite service with a turnaround time of maximum two working days with over 272 service centers across the country and approximately 20572 serviceable pin codes.
