The Indian graphics card market is flourishing at a good pace and new trends paving the way for a strong and sustainable growth. The demand from various consumer segments boosting the market landscape which ultimately empowering the brands. This market is poised to grow further with fast-growing demand in technologically empowered world. Sharing his views on the growing use of GPU, Alan Priestley, VP Analyst, Gartner said, “Increase in GPU performance enabling more immersive PC Games, addition of new features – ray tracing, AI etc. The use of GPUs as workload accelerators in data centres, use data centre based graphics for cloud gaming and virtual desktops.”
The demand for GPUs has been increasing swiftly and the adoption in various segments further fuelling the demand. Also, as crypto industry is on boom, the crypto investors are investing hugely in crypto mining which requires graphics card. “PC gaming during the Pandemic, increase in value of crypto currencies and most recently Ethereum has played a pivotal role in the increased demand for graphics card,” added by Alan.
Over the last few years, the demand for graphics card has been unprecedented and it played key role in pushing the price up. It was a big challenge for users who were looking to build a powerful PC for gaming or content creation. Putting across his thoughts on pricing, he said, “As supply increases price premiums will decrease, but Graphics card prices are increasing as card perf increases to keep ahead of the increasing performance of CPU integrated graphics.”
