Skyesports Collaborates with Riot Games for Skyesports Champions Series 2022

Skyesports has announced that it’s partnering with Riot Games, the leading game developer and publisher, to bring the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS) 2022 for VALORANT, a globally popular first-person shooter game. The SCS will be open to players from across South Asia and will feature a prize pool of $30,000. Its last stage will happen as a LAN event in Chennai, India.  Skyesports is a part of digital entertainment and technology company, JetSynthesys, known for its global play in gaming and esports with market leadership in India.

The SCS will lead into VALORANT’s global esports competition, called the VALORANT Champions Tour’s (VCT) Stage 2. The top two teams from the SCS will advance to the VCT APAC Challengers Stage 2, which represents the highest level of competitive VALORANT in the Asia-Pacific region.

Registrations for the SCS are currently live on the official website until May 7th for players across South Asia, which includes India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Bangladesh.

The SCS has been divided into three phases to provide a smooth hierarchy for the teams. These phases are the Open Qualifiers, Group Stage League, and the Playoffs and will take place in May and June to crown a South Asian champion. The playoffs are scheduled for May 31 to June 5 as a grand LAN event in Chennai, India with a live audience and musical performances.
