Recently, Acer inaugurated a new store in Ludhiana, Punjab, an important hub for IT and electronics. On this occasion, Rajeev Ranjan, Editor, Digital Terminal, exclusively spoke with Sanjeev Mehtani, Chief Sales Officer, Acer India. Rajeev: Please tell about the opening of this new store in Ludhiana?
Sanjeev: Opening a new store is always a positive and energizing experience. It represents an opportunity to engage with new consumers, explore business prospects, and deliver technology solutions that meet evolving customer needs. Each new store reinforces our commitment to serving the market effectively.
Rajeev: How significant is the Punjab market, particularly Ludhiana, for Acer’s strategy?
Sanjeev: Punjab holds personal significance for me as my hometown. Professionally, Ludhiana is a vital electronics and IT hub. The store we have inaugurated here is strategically positioned to serve the broader Punjab market. It is, in essence, a showcase of Acer’s latest technological offerings, including our specialized Predator gaming range.
Rajeev: Acer’s Predator series is well-regarded among gamers and content creators. How do you perceive the growth potential in this segment?
Sanjeev: Predator has always been a flagship brand for Acer. Our goal is to provide advanced gaming technology that addresses the requirements of serious gamers and content creators. The market’s reception has been very encouraging, and the launch of first Predator gaming store in Punjab marks a significant milestone. This demonstrates our commitment to this high-growth segment, and we anticipate expanding further.
Rajeev: Acer has set ambitious targets for retail expansion. Could you share the current status and future goals?
Sanjeev: At our last update, Acer had 250 operational stores. We now have 270, and we are firmly on track to achieve our goal of 300 stores by the end of the year. Our long-term vision is to reach 350 stores in the shortest possible timeframe, thereby ensuring a robust market presence across India.
Rajeev: Acer’s success is also attributed to strong relationships with channel partners. What message would you like to convey to them?
Sanjeev: Trust forms the foundation of all business relationships. Acer has consistently earned the confidence of its partners, and their support has been instrumental in our growth. I encourage existing and prospective partners to join us in this expansion journey. The opportunities for growth are substantial, and together, we can achieve remarkable results.
