In this exclusive interaction, Sunil Grewal, Executive Director, GIGABYTE Technology India Pvt. Ltd. shares insights into the company's performance in 2024, which saw notable growth in high-end motherboards and VGA cards, driven by demand from the GEM and SOHO segments. Looking ahead to 2025, GIGABYTE India is placing a strong emphasis on its “Build with GIGABYTE” initiative

Rajeev: How did your business perform in CY 2024? What were the key factors that contributed to this success?

Sunil: In CY 2024, we experienced growth, particularly in high-end motherboards and VGA cards. The key growth drivers for FY 2024 in the PC industry were the GEM and SOHO business segments.

This growth was fueled by increasing demand for performance-driven computing solutions, driven in part by content creators, gamers, and professionals seeking enhanced capabilities. Additionally, our strong channel partnerships and focused marketing initiatives helped us expand our reach and visibility in key markets.

Rajeev: What are your key business objectives for 2025? How do you plan to achieve them?

Sunil: "Build with GIGABYTE" will be the key objective for FY 2025. GIGABYTE India is actively working towards developing ecosystem partners and strengthening after-sales service to support the GIGABYTE PC initiative. In addition, GIGABYTE India is focused on expanding its presence in the gaming laptop category by growing both offline and online channels. Product Experience Zones in all major metro cities will play a crucial role in increasing brand awareness for GIGABYTE laptops. GIGABYTE India is also offering onsite service to end users, which will be a critical factor in the success of this product segment.

Rajeev: What new opportunities do you foresee emerging in your industry?

Sunil: The rise in content creators, streamers, and gamers is driving the demand for high-configuration PCs. The GEM business—an untapped segment for GIGABYTE India—combined with Make in India products, will open new business opportunities for us.

Rajeev: What is your current channel strength, and how do you plan to enhance your channel ecosystem in 2025?

Sunil: The offline channel is a key strength of GIGABYTE India. Various promotional programs for both Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners will further strengthen this association. Channel profitability remains a top priority for GIGABYTE India, and all our incentive programs are designed to support this objective.

In 2025, we aim to introduce more targeted training sessions and product knowledge workshops to empower our partners with deeper technical expertise. We are also enhancing our digital engagement tools to streamline communication and support for the channel community. Furthermore, we plan to expand our regional outreach to tap into emerging markets, ensuring a broader and more resilient distribution network.

Rajeev: What new product categories or services are you planning to introduce in 2025?

Sunil: In the motherboard category, GIGABYTE will unveil new models compatible with the AMD Ryzen 9000 series. In the VGA segment, we will introduce a complete portfolio of RTX 50 series graphics cards, offering best-in-class specifications and quality. In the gaming laptop segment, we will launch our new RTX 50 series lineup under the AORUS, AERO, and A16 series. GIGABYTE India is also planning to launch AMD Ryzen-based laptop models in the AERO X16 category later this year.
