As India’s cybersecurity landscape evolves with the rapid adoption of AI, increasing data privacy requirements, and growing digital dependence across enterprises, the need for indigenous and comprehensive security solutions has never been greater. In this exclusive conversation with Rajeev Ranjan, Editor, Digital Terminal, Preeti Kela, Director, Net Protector Antivirus (NPAV), shares her perspective on NPAV’s latest cybersecurity initiatives, the newly launched Krypton product portfolio, and the importance of keeping India’s data within India.

Rajeev: NPAV has introduced several new initiatives and products at the ASIRT Synergy Biz Conclave 2026. Could you tell us more about the key launches and what they bring to the market?

Preeti: NPAV is an antivirus company offering solutions such as Total Security, Z+ Security, and Endpoint Security, which are designed to protect enterprises. At the ASIRT Presents Synergy Biz Conclave 2026, we have introduced our new product range under the brand name Krypton.

One of the key launches is the Krypton Endpoint DPDPA Portal, designed to help organisations prepare for DPDPA compliance. We have also introduced Krypton AI Inside, which helps prevent data loss through AI applications such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. Our enterprise DLP solutions protect data across channels including Bluetooth, mobile devices, printers, websites, OneDrive, Gmail, and Outlook. Krypton Storage Insight helps organisations monitor computer and hard-drive health and maintain business continuity.

Rajeev: You have also introduced the Krypton MFA Token. How does it strengthen identity and access security?

Preeti: The Krypton MFA Token is designed for secure identity management. Today, passwords remain one of the key mechanisms protecting access to computers and data. However, if someone else gets access to your password, they may potentially be able to access your system.

With the Krypton MFA Token, access becomes identity-based. For example, if my login name is Admin, simply knowing my password would not be sufficient. The system can also use registered identity credentials, including fingerprint authentication where configured, to ensure that access is restricted to the authorised user.

With this type of authentication, a large number of cyber threats can be avoided and the possibility of data leakage can also be reduced. Data is the gold of today's era. Passwords are one of the keys protecting that data, so it is extremely important that organisations strengthen their authentication and access controls.

Rajeev: NPAV is an Indian company competing with multinational cybersecurity brands. How do you feel about being a homegrown Indian brand delivering solutions across the country?

Preeti: We feel really proud about it. India has demonstrated the importance of developing its own capabilities, particularly during situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic, when there was a strong need for solutions to be developed within the country. We had to undertake extensive research and development and build our own capabilities.

Similarly, when you use an international antivirus solution, it may not always have the signatures or solutions required for threats that are specific to your region. That is why we recommend choosing an Indian antivirus solution. Our servers are in India and our data is in India. In today's environment, data security is extremely important for the Indian government as well as for India as a whole.

The government is also encouraging the adoption of Make in India solutions. In line with this approach, we have recently launched our data centre at GIFT City. This is something we are extremely proud of. We are genuinely making in India and striving to always be there to protect our nation's data and maintain the privacy of Indian data. That is very, very important.

Rajeev: With growing concerns around data sovereignty, how important is it for Indian organisations to ensure that their data remains within the country?

Preeti: Data security and privacy have become extremely important. We have seen incidents where the email accounts of government officials and senior officials have been compromised, resulting in data being transferred to servers outside the country. What we want to emphasise is that when organisations choose Make in India solutions, their data can remain within India and their infrastructure can also be located within the country.

As an Indian company, we will always want to protect our nation from cyber threats. We see ourselves as the protectors of the protectors. We are here to protect India's data and safeguard the interests of Indians and the citizens of India.

Rajeev: The government is increasingly encouraging the adoption of indigenous technology. How do you see NPAV's role in this ecosystem?

Preeti: The government is encouraging organisations to use Indian solutions, and we believe this is a very important approach. NPAV is an example of an Indian company providing cybersecurity solutions while maintaining its infrastructure within India. Our servers are in India, so the data remains in India.

This is extremely important when it comes to protecting data, maintaining privacy, and strengthening the overall security of the nation. For us, Make in India is not just a phrase. It is about building capabilities within the country and ensuring that Indian organisations and citizens have access to solutions that can address their security requirements.

Rajeev: What is your message to the NPAV partner ecosystem and customers?

Preeti: My message would be very simple: Be Indian and buy Indian.

That is very important because we are here to protect you. We have updated servers that send updates every 15 minutes, enabling us to continuously respond to emerging threats. There are a huge number of viruses and cyber threats targeting computer networks, so cybersecurity cannot be something that organisations address only occasionally. Our team works around the clock, 24/7, 365 days a year, to provide virus protection and security solutions to our customers.

So, customers can trust us and choose the Indian antivirus solution, NPAV. Trust us completely. We are always there to support you, and we are always there to protect our nation.

Rajeev: What would you like to say to Indian businesses that are looking to strengthen their cybersecurity posture?

Preeti: I would say that organisations should understand the importance of protecting their data because data is the gold of today's era. Cyber threats are continuously evolving, and businesses need solutions that can provide continuous protection while understanding the specific requirements of the Indian market.

We are an Indian company with our servers and data in India, and our team works continuously to protect our customers. So, my message is: Be Indian and buy Indian. Trust NPAV. We are here to support you, protect your data, and protect our nation.
