“BIWIN Sees A Distinctive Window For Growth In The Upcoming Months”

In an exclusive interview with BIWIN's Country Manager for Consumer Business, Rajesh Khurana shares insights into the company's impressive performance during the fiscal year 2023-24. With a robust growth trajectory in Acer, HP, and Predator gaming branded flash storage segments, BIWIN has solidified its presence across 500+ cities in India. Khurana also discusses the burgeoning market sentiments for SSD adoption, AI-based compute solutions, and the anticipated surge in demand for 5G-compatible storage solutions in the coming year. DT: How was your overall performance in the FY 2023-24?

Rajesh: The last financial year (FY 2023-24) has been fascinating for BIWIN. We have grown double digits in both Acer-branded flash storage and HP flash storage segment. Both brands are now available in 500 + cities across India. The Predator gaming branded flash storage solutions also witnessed a wide range of acceptance across multiple cities in India. We also launched Lenovo-branded SSD recently pan India and are very bullish about it.

DT: What are your expectations regarding business performance and market sentiments in 2024?

Rajesh: The SSD adoption/replacement for hard drives continues to drive the growth of flash-based storage solutions due to much higher speed and better reliability. Together with AI-based compute solutions and much faster adoption expected this coming year for 5G, we foresee a growth in demand for higher speed and higher capacity like 1tb SSDs. NVME-based SSD solutions are expected to get much more acceptance in the coming months due to their 5 times more speed than SATA-based SSD solutions. Gen4 SSDs (like our FA 200 series from ACER) demand is also increasing due to its spectacular sequential read speeds of up to 7200 MB/s.

DT: What is your current channel strength, and how will you strengthen your partner network in 2024?

Rajesh: As we look ahead, BIWIN sees a distinctive window for growth in the upcoming months. With access to world-class manufacturing facilities and the esteemed brand recognition of household names such as Lenovo, HP, and Acer, complemented by the support of established IT distributors like Fortune Marketing & KBC Computech, our outlook is exceedingly optimistic. We anticipate harnessing the expertise and robust channel networks of our distributors to extend our presence and accessibility into emerging market segments.
