In a major leap forward for artificial intelligence, Elon Musk’s AI venture xAI has officially launched Grok 4, the latest evolution of its conversational AI model. The announcement was made during a live-streamed event hosted on X (formerly Twitter), positioning Grok 4 as one of the most powerful and intelligent AI systems ever developed.
Grok 4 introduces significant advancements in reasoning, performance, and speed. The model achieved a groundbreaking 25.4% score on the Humanity’s Last Exam—a benchmark designed to measure graduate-level problem-solving skills across multiple domains—outperforming contemporaries from OpenAI and Google. A more advanced multi-agent version, Grok 4 Heavy, scored 44.4%, showcasing xAI’s deep investment in collaborative agent technology.
As part of its product expansion, xAI announced a two-tiered subscription model:
Grok 4 Super – Available at $30/month, offering full access to the core model.
Grok 4 Heavy – Priced at $300/month, this enterprise-grade plan provides access to advanced multi-agent capabilities and early experimental features.
In addition to intelligence upgrades, Grok 4 includes:
Five new voice models (including one named “Eve”) capable of singing, storytelling, and dynamic dialogue.
A 50% reduction in response time, dramatically enhancing user experience.
Upcoming support for coding, multimodal inputs, and AI-generated video.
Grok will also be integrated into Tesla vehicles starting next week, extending xAI’s capabilities into the connected car ecosystem.
The Grok 4 launch coincides with xAI’s next fundraising round, with valuations reportedly targeting $170–200 billion, reflecting investor confidence in the model’s transformative potential.
As competition intensifies in the generative AI space, xAI’s Grok 4 is set to become a major player—merging technical performance with real-time deployment across consumer and enterprise platforms.
