Former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka has announced a new artificial intelligence focused startup, Hang Ten Systems, marking his latest venture in the fast-evolving global AI services market. The company has already raised $32 million in seed funding and claims to have secured early enterprise customers within a month of its formation.

The startup is positioned as an AI-native services company aimed at helping enterprises integrate and scale artificial intelligence across their operations, a space increasingly reshaping traditional IT and software service models.

AI First Services Model at the Core

Hang Ten Systems is designed to provide enterprise AI solutions using agentic systems, reusable skill libraries, and automated code generation capabilities. According to Sikka, the company aims to bridge the gap between organizations experimenting with AI and those achieving full-scale transformation.

In a statement on X, he said, “I'm excited to share the launch of Hang Ten Systems, a new endeavor to help enterprises thrive in the age of AI. AI is upon us all like a massive new wave. And I learned a long time ago that when there are big waves around, it is time to surf. Not just to surf, but to hang ten — to master the wave so well that you can walk all the way to the front of the board and hang your ten toes off the front.”

Backed by Global Investors and Strategic Partners

The $32 million seed round was led by Mayfield, with additional strategic participation from Aramco Ventures and several angel investors. The funding reflects growing investor interest in AI services platforms that go beyond tools and focus on end-to-end enterprise transformation.

Industry observers note that the backing signals strong confidence in AI driven service models that could potentially reshape traditional SaaS and IT outsourcing businesses.

Early Clients Already Onboard

Despite being a new company, Hang Ten Systems has reportedly already secured early customers. Sikka mentioned organizations such as Fresenius and Siemens Energy among its initial clients, suggesting early traction in the enterprise segment.

The company’s approach positions itself as an alternative to conventional IT services by embedding AI into core engineering and software development processes rather than treating it as an add-on layer.

Leadership Team with Global Experience

Hang Ten Systems brings together a leadership team with experience across major technology firms. Alongside Sikka, the founding ecosystem includes Jerry Yang, co-founder of Yahoo, as well as executives who have previously worked at SAP, Infosys, and Sikka’s earlier venture VianAI.

Key members include Navin Budhiraja, Sanjay Rajagopalan, and Tao Liu, all of whom bring experience in enterprise technology and large-scale engineering systems.

AI Reshaping Traditional IT Services

The launch comes at a time when the global IT services industry is undergoing major disruption due to AI adoption. Traditional SaaS and outsourcing models are increasingly being challenged by AI-native platforms that automate coding, deployment, and enterprise workflows.

Sikka emphasized that “every enterprise will be transformed by AI,” adding that while some companies are already gaining significant advantages, many remain at an early stage of adoption.

Expansion Plans and Hiring Push

Hang Ten Systems is currently expanding its operations and is actively hiring across engineering, delivery, sales, and leadership roles. The company plans to build a multi-location global presence as it scales its AI services offerings.
