R&M provided a successful installation at the Narodowy National Stadium in Warsaw for the uninterrupted and real-time broadcasting of the game with its top-quality products and paves the way for new football and sports stadium. The main reason for choosing R&M solution was the high flexibility of the modular systems; the simple installation and readiness for the challenges of tomorrow. R&M guaranteed and rendered the fastest pictures, sound, signal and data transmission to the media - both inside the stadium and outside to the rest of the world.
The modular R&M freenet cabling system was chosen as the perfect solution. R&M was able to cite previous experience with successful installations in other stadia in Switzerland, Ukraine andPoland. The backbone of the National Stadium is based on 72-fiber single mode optic cables, category OS2. The redundant cabling is led through separate routes to minimize the risk of failure. The FO rings link four data centers in which the entire IT infrastructure is also provided as a redundant replica.
Cat. 6 Real10 cable was used wherever the distance was below 100 meters. It supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Applications located further away such as cameras, screens, some access points and control systems are connected via FO duplex connections with SCRJ/APC connectors. These connectors are characterized not only by top performance but are also able to ensure environmental protection up to IP67 level which in terms of the stadium was crucial.
