NDM News Network

Today, technology has become an important part of our life, now more than ever with the background of the pandemic. At the current stage, technologies such as IoT, and AI  can play a vital role as they can help and track the spread of the virus. From robots cleaning floors, to serving at restaurants and greeting at airports, and tablets being used to check COVID compliance, technological innovations can be seen everywhere. These little technological wonders are fast invading our world to make it an easier and safer place to live, in a post COVID world. With shopping malls, airports, railway stations, offices already open amidst the third wave of COVID wreaking havoc, deployment of these non–human devices is the need of the hour. Usage of Technology is the "New Normal" for maintaining proper social distancing, hygiene and constant monitoring.

Here are the products that have brought various innovations to bring back your normal life

SENS
This Hyderabad based startup is building the Internet of things (IoT) devices for a smart and sustainable technology revolution. During Covid-19, Bluesemi has introduced a new device called SENS - a contactless temperature-sensing device with medical-grade accuracy giving the temperature reading within 5 seconds and it will automatically detect a person in 15 cm distance. It is paired with its own app. SENS can help figure out who can work and who must stay at home. Additionally, App will issue a risk alert if the temperature is above a certain acceptable threshold and a long-lasting efficient battery - charge will last up to 15 days at a time, with battery health notification on the sensor as well as on the app.

Milagrow iMap Max floor cleaning robot

As the novel coronavirus continues to wreak havoc across India, the demand for automated solutions across sectors is high. Keeping this in mind, India’s consumer robotics brand Milagrow Robots launched world's 1st-floor wet mopping and vacuuming robot which can self-clean its mops with a pressure of 40N. This fully independent, self-cleaning robotic vacuum cleaner has a patented wet mopping mechanism which comes down and puts pressure of 10 N on the floor by two hydraulic shafts, based on an AI algorithm. This extra pressure on the floor cleans the most stubborn dirt and stains from the floor like those of coffee and sauce, etc. Milagrow iMAP Max leverages the same AI technology which is used in unmanned vehicles. It uses a LIDAR sensor with Milagrow patented real-time terrain recognition technology for faster mapping and real-time path planning. With a 5200 mAh battery and a robust 2200 pa powerful suction to pick even small stones or beans, iMAP Max has been developed with extensive research of over three years.

VAMS SafeGuard
A leading provider of Visitor Management Systems. During Covid-19 VAMS Global has come up with new device VAMS SafeGuard which scan individuals through a distance of 18" and checks permissible body temperate, check mask compliance, embedded with face and palm recognition sensor, VAMS SafeGuard offers 100 per cent hands-free hygienic user authentication. In case of high temperature or mask complaint defaults, the device will generate a signal to prevent entry. Real-time visibility of people inside the premises can be administered. In case of any emergency, an alert notification can be generated that helps them to evacuate the premises immediately for the security or admin team.

Drone technology
Marut Dronetech is working with the Telangana government to deploy drones for public safety applications in eight disticts. Marut Drones made by his start-up company Marut Dronetech Pr. The drones can be used for disinfection and public monitoring amid the coronavirus pandemic. The fight against coronavirus has brought out the big tech guns - artificial intelligence, mapping, big data, and location technology – to help track, monitor, and control the spread of the disease.
