NDM News Network

Minance, a SEBI RIA and wealth management company, that is striving to make investing more accessible by offering investment opportunities that were previously available only to the ultra-rich, recently announced it has partnered with smallcase Technologies, which builds platforms & products that are changing the way India invests.

Minance will use smallcase Technologies’ Publisher Platform to create, launch, and manage 2 new equity strategies as smallcases. The first is a momentum-based strategy called “Alpha Multiple”, while the other one called “All Weather” is based on the low-risk anomaly. Minance clients can invest in these “smallcases” on the same platform via their accounts with broker-partners.

smallcase Technologies has already partnered with some of India’s leading brokerages like Zerodha, AxisDirect, HDFC Securities, Edelweiss, Kotak Securities, 5paisa, and has plans to add more to this list. smallcases are a modern financial instrument that helps people invest in professionally managed portfolios of stocks/ETFs at zero expense ratio. Moreover, since smallcases are integrated with the users’ brokerage accounts, the underlying securities are held in the investor’s demat account and they have complete control & transparency into their investments.

On their partnership with Minance, Vasanth Kamath, co-founder and CEO, smallcase Technologies, said, “Minance is a rapidly growing firm and it’s great to partner with them and see that the Publisher Platform is enabling advisors like Minance offer more strategies/products for retail investors at low-cost.”

Anurag Bhatia, founder, and CEO, Minance, added “Minance had actually applied for the PMS license, but we withdrew it after discovering & understanding the Publisher Platform and smallcase’s broader vision. smallcase is disrupting the entire PMS industry, and with its Publisher Platform, it has enabled us to make well-researched & rewarding strategies available to retail investors at low ticket-sizes.”

With the introduction of the Publisher Platform, SEBI licensed professionals can now conveniently productize their stock & ETF research/advisory services via a platform that also takes care of various operational functions - including automatically communicating market updates, issuing portfolio rebalances, KYC/payments, promotional campaigns, and more. And the end client can invest in these “smallcases” on the same platform via their accounts with broker-partners.
