In this exclusive interaction, Rajeev Ranjan, Editor, Digital Terminal, speaks with Jaydeep Singh, General Manager for India at Kaspersky, who shares his perspective on the initiative, its purpose, and its wider impact on young digital users and families.

Rajeev: How are you feeling about this initiative and what was the intention behind launching it at KidZania?

Jaydeep: Gold based learning models are a great model for children for learning life skills. We are born in a digital age, so for them to know about safe experiences on the net is very important.

Rajeev: What is your broader vision for such initiatives going forward?

Jaydeep: We are already investing our time and energies in ensuring more cyber resiliency across all age groups. Last year, we also did CSR activities with senior citizens in Bombay, so it is important for us to cover all demographics and all ages for a better experience and better visibility.

Rajeev: What message would you like to give to parents in Delhi NCR?

Jaydeep: Be friends with the children, talk to them, counsel them, and have basic protection mechanisms on your devices.

Rajeev: What additional steps should parents take to ensure digital safety for young children?

Jaydeep: It is very important for them to have basic parental controls like Kaspersky Safe Kids. There are other tools in the market and antivirus solutions as well. It will be good to have them on devices, but most importantly, counselling on what safe cyber behaviour is very important.
