The enterprise collaboration market is entering a new phase as businesses look for smarter meeting spaces, AI-enabled solutions and reliable technology support across locations. In this exclusive conversation with Rajeev Ranjan, Editor, Digital Terminal, Dr. Ramya Chatterjee, CEO, Solitaire Brand Business and Director, Prointek Global Innovations, discusses how Solitaire is expanding beyond IFPDs, strengthening its Made-in-India portfolio, and building an integrated collaboration ecosystem backed by strong service and channel capabilities.
Rajeev: Where do you see the biggest growth opportunities for Solitaire in enterprise collaboration and meeting-room technology?
Dr. Ramya: I see the biggest growth opportunity for Solitaire in moving beyond meeting-room hardware to becoming an integrated collaboration-solutions brand. The Indian enterprise collaboration market is expanding rapidly, while the continued growth of Global Capability Centers (GCCs), hybrid workplaces and distributed teams is creating demand for intelligent, standardized and easy-to-manage meeting spaces. India’s GCCs alone are expected to remain a major driver of new office-space demand over the next few years.
For Solitaire, this creates opportunities across AI-enabled meeting-room solutions, intelligent video conferencing, interactive displays, room automation and centralized device management. We see particular potential in GCCs, BFSI, IT/ITES, manufacturing, healthcare and large enterprises that are increasingly looking for consistent collaboration experiences across multiple offices.
Our strategy is therefore to build a broader meeting-room ecosystem - combining IFPDs, AI-enabled PTZ cameras, professional audio, OPS computing and collaboration software with deployment, training and nationwide support. The objective is simple: make every meeting room smarter, easier to use and easier for IT teams to manage at scale.
With our growing product portfolio, local manufacturing capability and strong channel and service ecosystem, I believe Solitaire has an opportunity to emerge as a strong Indian enterprise collaboration brand, rather than being perceived simply as an interactive-display provider.
Rajeev: As a proud Indian brand, how is Solitaire capitalizing on the growing preference among customers for Made-in-India solutions?
Dr. Ramya: As a proud Indian brand, Solitaire is well positioned to benefit from the growing preference for Make-in-India technology solutions. Through our local manufacturing capabilities, domestic supply chain and nationwide service ecosystem, we are able to offer products that are competitive, customized for Indian requirements and supported locally. At the same time, we continue to invest in R&D, AI-enabled solutions and product innovation, with the ambition of building a globally competitive technology brand from India.
Rajeev: The IFPD and collaboration technology markets are becoming increasingly competitive. How is Solitaire building differentiation in this space?
Dr. Ramya: The IFPD and collaboration technology markets are becoming increasingly crowded, so at Solitaire, our differentiation goes well beyond hardware specifications or price competitiveness. We are focused on delivering a complete technology experience built around innovation, AI, usability and lifecycle value.
On the product side, we are continuously strengthening our portfolio with AI-enabled interactive displays, intelligent video-conferencing cameras, advanced collaboration software, centralized device management and integrated meeting-room solutions. In education, our focus is increasingly on AI-assisted teaching, content creation and interactive learning, while in enterprise, we are building solutions that make meeting and collaboration spaces smarter, simpler and more productive.
Another important differentiator is our strong alignment with the Make in India vision. Solitaire is steadily expanding its Made-in-India portfolio, strengthening local manufacturing capabilities and enhancing our ability to customize solutions for the specific requirements of the Indian market. This is further complemented by our strong channel ecosystem and extensive service infrastructure, enabling us to support customers across the entire lifecycle - from consultation and deployment to user training and dependable after-sales service.
Ultimately, we don't want Solitaire to be perceived merely as an IFPD brand. Our vision is to build Solitaire as an integrated AI-powered learning and collaboration technology brand, where innovation is backed by dependable local support and a strong understanding of the Indian market.
Rajeev: As your solutions are deployed across schools, institutions and enterprises, how do you manage service and support across different locations?
Dr. Ramya: Our service philosophy is built around reach, responsiveness and consistency. Since Solitaire products & solutions are deployed across schools, institutions, government projects and enterprises in diverse geographies, we have created a strong service infrastructure comprising 24 service branches, 148 dedicated repair centres and installation capabilities across 623 locations in India.
We combine this physical network with centralized service coordination, trained technical teams and remote assistance, enabling us to respond quickly and maintain consistent service standards across locations. Our engagement also goes beyond break-fix support - we focus on professional installation, user training, preventive support and timely technical assistance throughout the product lifecycle.
For us, service is not simply an after-sales function; it is an integral part of the Solitaire value proposition. Our objective is to ensure that wherever a Solitaire solution is deployed, customers have access to dependable local support backed by a structured national service ecosystem.Bottom of Form
Rajeev: Supertron Electronics has a strong pan-India distribution network. How is this extensive reach helping Solitaire expand the availability and sales of its solutions across the Indian market?
Dr. Ramya: Supertron Electronics’ extensive pan-India infrastructure gives Solitaire a significant advantage in market reach, product availability and scalability. With 34 branch offices, 60 warehouses, 17 satellite offices and a 700+ strong workforce, the group has built a distribution and operational network that reaches customers and channel partners across the country.
For Solitaire, this translates into faster product availability, efficient logistics, stronger regional partner engagement and better access to Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, in addition to the major metros. Equally important, Supertron’s pan-India onsite support capability gives customers confidence that our growth in sales is backed by dependable service and local support.
With 32+ years of presence in India and a group turnover exceeding ₹8,500 crore, Supertron brings tremendous market experience, channel relationships and operational strength. Solitaire is able to leverage this established ecosystem to scale faster, penetrate new markets and remain closer to customers, while continuing to build its own identity as a leading Indian technology brand.
