Residents of the high-rise project in Sector 94 say deteriorating water quality has turned a premium housing complex into a source of daily anxiety.

Residents of Supertechโ€™s Supernova project in Noida are reportedly facing a serious water crisis, with some families alleging that worms and foul-smelling, discoloured water have been coming from their household taps.

The issue has reportedly affected more than 350 families living in the project located in Sector 94 along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, raising concerns over water quality and living conditions in the high-value residential complex.

Resident Finds Worms in Kitchen and Bathroom Taps

The situation came as a shock to a 42-year-old assistant professor who, around two weeks ago, reportedly opened her kitchen tap only to find yellowish-black, foul-smelling water containing worms.

According to the account, the problem was not limited to the kitchen. She later discovered worms in the bathroom taps and flushes as well.

The family had moved to Noida after spending their entire lives in Delhi. Initially, they rented an apartment in Supernovaโ€™s Nova East and West blocks and lived there for nearly two years before deciding to purchase a three-bedroom apartment worth several crores.

The property was once considered their dream home. However, the reported deterioration in water quality has left the family deeply concerned and disappointed.

Premium Homes, Basic Infrastructure Concerns

The reported water problem has become a major concern for residents across the project, particularly because of the premium value of the homes.

For families who invested substantial amounts in the development, access to clean and safe water is a basic expectation. The presence of worms and foul odour in household water has instead raised questions about the condition of the water supply system and the management of the issue.

Residents are reportedly seeking answers and a permanent solution as the problem continues to affect daily life.

Growing Concern Among Residents

With hundreds of families living in the project, the reported water contamination has become more than an individual household issue. Residents are concerned about the potential impact on drinking water, cooking, bathing and other essential household activities.

The situation also highlights the wider challenges that can emerge in large residential developments when essential infrastructure and maintenance systems fail to function properly.

For residents who invested crores in what they expected to be a premium living environment, the reported water crisis has transformed a dream home into a source of growing anxiety.

As affected families continue to raise concerns, the key question now is how quickly the underlying cause of the water contamination can be identified and resolved, and what measures will be taken to ensure residents have access to clean and safe water.
