A high-speed car allegedly driven by intoxicated youths struck several people in Hyderabad's Hayathnagar outskirts, near Haider Shahkot, late Sunday night, killing an Army jawan at the spot. The incident has triggered a police investigation into suspected drunk driving and reckless speeding.
According to preliminary information, the car was carrying five youths when it reportedly lost control and crashed into people on the road. The impact left several people injured, while the Army personnel died at the scene.
Suspects Allegedly Flee After Crash
Police suspect that the five occupants were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Following the collision, they allegedly abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot.
The police have launched efforts to identify and locate the suspects. The abandoned car is also being examined as part of the investigation.
