Delhivery has strengthened its governance and strategic direction with the appointment of seasoned technology leader Neelam Dhawan as a Non-Executive Independent Director, effective 20 March 2026. Her elevation to Chairperson of the Board, set to take effect from 1 April 2026, signals the company’s intent to deepen its focus on technology-driven growth and global best practices.
Dhawan steps into the role following the departure of Deepak Kapoor, who concludes an influential eight-year tenure with the logistics and supply chain major. His exit marks the end of a key chapter in Delhivery’s journey, during which the company scaled rapidly and cemented its position as one of India’s leading integrated logistics platforms.
Bringing more than three decades of experience across the global technology ecosystem, Dhawan is widely recognized for her leadership roles at major multinational organizations. She has previously held senior positions including Managing Director at HP India Sales, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise India, and Microsoft Corporation India. Her career has been defined by navigating large-scale digital transformations and managing complex, matrixed operations across industries such as banking, telecommunications, manufacturing, healthcare, and public sector enterprises.
Her academic foundation in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, followed by an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Delhi, has supported her strategic and analytical approach to leadership. Beyond corporate roles, Dhawan has also contributed significantly to the broader industry landscape, including her tenure on the Nasscom Executive Council, where she played a role in shaping policy and industry direction.
Currently, she serves on multiple prominent boards, including Hindustan Unilever, Tech Mahindra, Ather Energy, Fractal Analytics, Capillary Technologies India, and Capita PLC, in addition to her involvement with the Nudge Lifeskills Foundation. This diverse boardroom experience is expected to bring a multidimensional perspective to Delhivery’s governance structure.
As Delhivery moves into its next phase of growth, the appointment reflects a clear emphasis on strengthening leadership at the intersection of technology and logistics, setting the stage for sustained expansion in an increasingly competitive and dynamic market.
