The projects across 14 districts are expected to contribute to regional economic activity through manufacturing, hospitality, food processing, technology, logistics and other services. The Chief Minister emphasised that local enterprises and entrepreneurs should be integrated into industrial supply chains so that the benefits of investment extend to communities across Odisha.
On employment generation, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of developing a skilled, industry-ready workforce. He emphasised that investments in sectors such as textiles and apparel, food processing, electronics, tourism and IT services can create opportunities for young people and women, enabling more people to access employment closer to their homes. Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Hon’ble Industries Minister, emphasised the “Odisha’s industrial journey is moving from investment commitments to implementation, from projects to production, and from growth to prosperity for its people. Our commitment is clear: what we promise, we deliver. Every investment must translate into employment for our youth, opportunities for local industries and lasting prosperity for our communities. Odisha is also developing an industry-ready, skilled workforce to meet the demands of future industries. Our goal is not merely to attract investments, but to ensure that the benefits of industrial development reach every corner of Odisha.”
Shri Pradeep Balasamanta, Hon’ble Minister for Co-operation, Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts, highlighted the importance of strengthening Odisha’s textiles and apparel ecosystem and expanding employment opportunities through industrial growth.
