To gain an edge in the ongoing quick commerce war with its competitors, Blinkit has now announced that it will start delivering monitors, laptops, and printers in select big cities. In a strategic move to broaden its product portfolio, the company has formed deliberate partnerships with brands like Lenovo, Canon, HP, and MSI to include their products in its e-commerce platform’s options.
The cities where the quick service is introduced include Delhi, NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Pune. The Blinkit says that it is broadening its electronics range to meet a variety of needs, offering a wider selection of essential devices.
Through partnerships with top brands in the industry, the e-commerce firm now ventures to provide laptops from HP, monitors from Lenovo, Zebronics, and MSI, as well as printers from Canon and HP. These collaborations ensure that customers have access to reliable, high-quality electronics for both personal and professional use.
The brand will soon be expanding its e-commerce services to additional cities, thereby broadening its reach and making its offerings more accessible to a wider audience across various regions. This move aims to cater to the growing demand and enhance customer convenience in these new locations.
Notably, Blinkit already offers a range of electronic products and accessories, including smartphones, storage devices, power banks, charging bricks, mice, and keyboards. The addition of laptops further expands the list of services the company has rolled out in recent months.
“These offerings are currently live in - Delhi NCR, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Lucknow. Most of these will be delivered by Blinkit’s large order fleet. We’ll be adding a lot more brands and their products very soon.”
Albinder Dhindsa, CEO, Blinkit took social media platform X (previously Twitter) to break out the news and posted: “You can now get laptops, monitors, printers and more delivered in 10 minutes! We're expanding our electronics range to cover more use cases and have partnered up with leading brands in this category. We've got 👇Laptops from HP, Monitors from Lenovo, Zebronics and MSI, Printers from Canon and HP.”
Upon his new venture announcement, a user asked Dhindsa, if they have any plans to have Epson ink available on the app soon, as sometimes people need it urgently, while another user asked to add Brother’s as well. To which he replied, “Yes, we’ve also listed printer cartridges from HP and Canon. Epson in some time.”
Currently, Blinkit is under fierce competition with quick commerce market players with the launch of Flipkart Minutes, which debuted recently in August, providing fast delivery of groceries, electronics, and more. Amazon has also entered the fray with a pilot for its quick commerce platform, Tez, currently limited to Bengaluru.
Tez focuses on delivering groceries and daily essentials within 15 minutes. With the inclusion of laptops, desktops, and printers, along with its strong delivery ecosystem, Blinkit is supposed to get an edge in the competition.
