Amazon announced that it will expand Amazon Now, its ultra-fast delivery within minutes to customers in 100 cities across India. Amazon will scale up its specialized fulfillment infrastructure and expand to over 1,000 micro-fulfillment centers (MFCs) to support this growth.
Customers across metros and non-metro cities including Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Meerut, Mysore, Panipat, Kochi, Amritsar, Mangalore and Vizag to name a few, along with existing cities Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru will be able to shop from Amazon Now.
The service offers a curated selection of thousands of daily essentials such as groceries (including fruits & vegetables, frozen food), personal care, fashion & beauty products, small appliances, baby products, pet supplies, healthcare supplements and more delivered within minutes.

Encouraged by this success, we have further accelerated our expansion plans and will scale Amazon Now to 100 cities, fueled by a network of more than 1,000 micro-fulfillment centers. This expansion will also help more than 16,000 farmers to leverage our technology & operations to take their produce directly to customers through sellers on Amazon Now. Customers continue to get the convenience of our fastest delivery speeds on the largest selection offered by our sellers – thousands of daily essentials including perishables in minutes, over a million items on the same day, and another 4 million the next day on Amazon.in.” said Harsh Goyal, Vice President – Everyday Essentials, Amazon India.
Amazon Now’s rapid expansion is a part of Amazon’s investment of over INR 2,800 crore (~USD 300 million) to further strengthen associate safety, health, and financial wellbeing measures while strengthening one of India’s safest, fastest and most reliable operations network.
