DT Channel Connect 2026 – Ludhiana Edition concluded on a successful note as it brought together the entire technology community of Punjab to discuss emerging trends, evolving customer requirements, and new business opportunities shaping the IT channel ecosystem. The event served as a strategic platform for industry leaders to exchange insights on next-generation technologies and explore growth opportunities across rapidly expanding technology segments.
As part of the event’s insightful knowledge-sharing sessions, Solitaire hosted an exclusive fireside chat on the theme “The Future of Smart Collaboration: Unlocking New Business Opportunities with Interactive Displays & Unified Communication Solutions.” The session was focused on the future of smart collaboration and the growing opportunities emerging in the Interactive Flat Panel Display (IFPD) and Unified Communication solutions market. The discussion highlighted how digital transformation across education and enterprise sectors is driving demand for intelligent collaboration technologies and creating new avenues for channel partners.
The insightful conversation was hosted by Rajeev Ranjan, Editor & Publisher, Digital Terminal, with Dr. Ramya Chatterjee, CEO, Solitaire Brand Business & Managing Director, Prointek Global Innovation, as the speaker. The session brought together leading distributors, channel partners, retailers, system integrators, and technology professionals to understand the emerging opportunities in smart classrooms, digital workplaces, and AI-enabled collaboration ecosystems.
During the fireside chat, Dr. Ramya Chatterjee highlighted how collaboration technology has transformed from being an optional investment to becoming a business-critical requirement for organizations and educational institutions. He explained that the adoption of interactive displays, AI-powered software platforms, and video collaboration solutions is accelerating as enterprises and schools look for smarter ways to improve productivity, engagement, and learning outcomes.
Solitaire Driving the Future of Smart Collaboration
Sharing insights into Solitaire’s journey and technology vision, Dr. Chatterjee highlighted the company’s focus on building innovative solutions for modern classrooms and workplaces. He explained that Solitaire, backed by Supertron, is an Indian technology brand focused on manufacturing Interactive Flat Panels, OPS computers, and video conferencing solutions.
“Supertron started its manufacturing business four years ago. Today, we manufacture three products — Interactive Flat Panels that are deployed in classrooms and meeting rooms, OPS computers, and video conferencing cameras,” said Dr. Chatterjee.
Explaining the objective behind Solitaire’s solutions, he added, “The objective of the brand is to provide classroom teaching equipment for teachers to enhance learning outcomes inside the classroom. At the same time, the same set of products goes inside meeting rooms to enhance meeting room productivity. This is the fundamental objective we aim to achieve as a technology product brand.”
Highlighting the company’s Make in India approach, Dr. Chatterjee said, “Solitaire is an Indian brand backed by Supertron, and our manufacturing unit is in Greater Noida. We are leveraging the India initiative and developing products that compete with global MNC brands while growing exponentially.”
From Traditional Classrooms to AI-Powered Learning Environments
Discussing the transformation of education technology, Dr. Chatterjee explained how classrooms have evolved over the years, moving from traditional teaching methods to digital and AI-enabled learning environments.
“When we were studying, classrooms were mainly based on the chalk-and-talk method. After that came markers and whiteboards. Slowly, classrooms started evolving. Today, classrooms are powered by digital panels, and books have been converted into digital content,” he explained.
Massive Opportunity for Channel Partners in Smart Education
Addressing channel partners at DT Channel Connect 2026, Dr. Chatterjee highlighted the significant opportunity available in Punjab’s education market.
“According to official data, Punjab has around 27,000 schools. Out of these, nearly 19,000 are government-aided schools and around 8,000 are private schools. Interactive Flat Panel penetration is currently only around 20%, which means around 80% of schools are still waiting for adoption,” he shared.
Highlighting the business opportunity, he added, “The opportunity is huge. This market is growing rapidly, and the business opportunity is excellent because it is not only hardware, it is a combination of hardware and software.”
Encouraging partners to explore this segment, Dr. Chatterjee said, “For partners who have traditionally focused on desktops, notebooks, and servers, there is a huge opportunity to focus on Interactive Flat Panels as a new product category.”
He also highlighted Solitaire’s partner enablement initiatives, saying, “We handhold our partners through training and help them understand how the product can be positioned appropriately in classrooms. This is not just a box-selling business. We educate partners, explain the business opportunity, and work together to grow.”
Beyond Education: Enterprise Collaboration Opens New Growth Avenues
The fireside chat also explored opportunities beyond education, particularly in enterprise collaboration and meeting room solutions. Dr. Chatterjee highlighted that Punjab’s strong industrial ecosystem, especially across Ludhiana and Mohali, presents significant opportunities for unified communication solutions.
“Our products mainly go into education and meeting room spaces. Punjab has a strong MSME ecosystem, especially in Ludhiana and Mohali. Today, in the era of digitization, meeting room collaboration has become a very important requirement,” he said.
Discussing the potential of video collaboration solutions, he added, “In our portfolio, we manufacture Interactive Flat Panels, cameras, and OPS computers. The camera business is growing and scaling very fast in India, creating a strong opportunity for partners.”
He highlighted the scale of opportunity in Punjab, saying, “If we talk about MSMEs and enterprises in Punjab, there are close to 1.5 lakh meeting rooms across small, medium, and large organizations. This creates a significant opportunity for video conferencing solutions.”
Solitaire Encourages Partners to Embrace Emerging Solution Categories
Concluding the fireside chat, Dr. Chatterjee encouraged channel partners to explore emerging technology categories and adapt their business strategies according to changing market dynamics. He emphasized that AI-powered collaboration solutions, smart classrooms, and digital workplace technologies represent significant growth opportunities for partners willing to expand beyond traditional IT products.
Through its participation at DT Channel Connect 2026 – Ludhiana Edition, Solitaire reaffirmed its commitment to empowering the channel ecosystem with innovative solutions, partner support programs, and future-ready technologies that address the evolving needs of educational institutions and businesses across India.
