Teciem has announced the appointment of Preeti Singh as its Chief Information Security Officer. The development comes at a critical juncture as enterprises across the financial technology ecosystem accelerate investments in secure digital infrastructure and cyber resilience.

Singh joins Teciem with over 15 years of extensive experience in information security, governance, risk, and compliance. Widely regarded as a seasoned cybersecurity professional, she brings a strong track record of building robust security frameworks, aligning cyber strategy with business objectives, and leading large-scale transformation initiatives in highly regulated environments.

Strengthening Security at Scale

At Teciem, Singh is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing enterprise-wide security architecture, enhancing risk management frameworks, and ensuring regulatory compliance across global operations. With the company serving more than 340 financial institutions worldwide, including several leading global banks, her leadership will be instrumental in safeguarding critical financial ecosystems while enabling scalable growth.

Her appointment reflects Teciemโ€™s strategic focus on embedding cybersecurity as a core pillar of business transformation rather than a standalone function. As financial markets become increasingly digitised, the need for resilient, adaptive, and intelligence-driven security systems has never been more pronounced.

Proven Leadership Across Global Organisations

Prior to joining Teciem, Singh held the role of Director of Information Security and GRC at OSTTRA, where she led global governance, risk, and compliance initiatives. During her tenure, she played a key role in strengthening cloud security frameworks and advancing practices aligned with international standards such as ISO 27001.

She also served as Associate Director for IT Security Risk and Compliance within the same organisation, further deepening her expertise in enterprise risk governance.

Earlier in her career, Singh headed GRC at HCL Technologies, overseeing enterprise-wide compliance and risk management programs. Notably, she spent over five years as Chief Information Security Officer at Aviva in India, where she led cybersecurity strategy during a phase of rapid digital transformation and increased adoption of digital services.

Diverse Experience Across Industries

Singhโ€™s professional journey also includes key roles at Axis Risk Consulting, McGladrey, and Ernst & Young, where she gained extensive exposure to IT audits, SOX compliance, data privacy, and risk advisory. Her cross-industry experience spans sectors such as insurance, automotive, KPO, and education, equipping her with a well-rounded perspective on evolving cybersecurity challenges.

Over the years, she has led multiple complex engagements, including IT general controls testing, internal audits, SSAE 16 assessments, and large-scale compliance programs. Her international exposure includes onsite audit assignments in the United States, where she earned recognition for delivering high-impact outcomes and driving client value.

Industry Voice in a High-Stakes Environment

Beyond her corporate roles, Singh is an active industry speaker known for her insights on cybersecurity strategy, vendor risk management, and emerging threat landscapes. Her thought leadership is particularly relevant at a time when organisations are navigating increasingly sophisticated cyber threats while balancing regulatory demands and business agility.

Strategic Timing Amid Rising Cyber Risks

Singhโ€™s appointment comes as organisations worldwide are recalibrating their cybersecurity priorities in response to escalating digital risks, stricter compliance requirements, and the rapid adoption of cloud and AI-driven technologies. For Teciem, which operates at the intersection of treasury and capital markets technology, strengthening security leadership is essential to maintaining trust and ensuring operational continuity.

With Singh at the helm of its cybersecurity function, Teciem is well-positioned to enhance its security maturity, protect critical financial data, and support its next phase of global expansion with a resilient and future-ready digital foundation.
