Proven Leadership in Manufacturing Technology
Before joining Birla White, Chettiar served as Assistant General Manager and Head of Information Technology at Exide Energy Solutions Ltd., where he played a pivotal role in establishing the IT organization for the company's greenfield lithium-ion battery manufacturing business.
As one of the founding members of the technology team, he led the creation of the enterprise IT operating model, governance framework, and digital roadmap. He also oversaw the implementation of critical enterprise systems supporting manufacturing, finance, procurement, human resources, quality management, project management, and supply chain operations.
His leadership extended to deploying cloud infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity governance, enabling workflow automation, and building a multi-location IT organization capable of supporting large-scale manufacturing operations.

Chettiar has also held technology leadership positions at Tata Consumer Products, JSW, and PPG Asian Paints. Throughout his career, he has led enterprise modernization initiatives involving SAP implementation, manufacturing digitization, ERP transformation, cloud technologies, and supply chain optimization.
His expertise spans enterprise IT strategy, digital transformation, manufacturing technology, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, operational automation, and technology-enabled business transformation.
