Persistent Systems has appointed Kavitha Srinivasulu as Vice President – Chief Cyber & AI Security Officer, bringing together cybersecurity, AI security, risk advisory and digital transformation under her new leadership mandate. She will work with customers, C-suite executives and leadership teams to help organisations address emerging technology risks while advancing their AI and digital transformation initiatives.

In her new role, Srinivasulu will focus on areas including Risk Advisory, AI Security, Security Engineering and Digital Transformation. Her responsibilities will centre on helping enterprises strengthen security, resilience and trust as they increasingly adopt artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.

Extensive Cybersecurity and Risk Advisory Experience

Srinivasulu brings around two decades of experience across cybersecurity, data privacy, risk advisory and business resilience. Before joining Persistent Systems, she was associated with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where she served as Global Head – Cyber Risk & Data Privacy for the BFSI Risk & Compliance division.

Her professional experience spans multiple sectors, including banking and financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, IT services and telecommunications. Over the course of her career, she has worked across risk advisory, business consulting and delivery assurance, helping organisations address security, privacy and operational risks.

Earlier in her career, Srinivasulu held roles with organisations including Wipro, Bank of America, Verizon, AstraZeneca and TCS. Her experience across these organisations has included addressing cybersecurity and data privacy challenges emerging from increasingly digital and interconnected business environments.

Announcing her new journey on LinkedIn, she said, I’m happy to share that I’ve taken up a new role as Vice President - Chief Cyber & AI Security Officer at Persistent Systems. A sincere thanks to the leadership team, colleagues, mentors and customers who have supported and trusted me throughout my journey that has helped me in shaping my career! I look forward to partnering with customers and teams to enable secure transformation, trusted innovation and sustainable business value in the AI era.”

Focus on AI Security and Digital Resilience

Srinivasulu’s appointment comes at a time when enterprises are moving beyond AI experimentation and integrating AI into business applications, technology infrastructure and operational workflows. This expansion is also creating new considerations around data protection, cybersecurity, governance, risk and operational resilience.

Her previous work has included examining cybersecurity and data privacy issues associated with emerging technologies. She has also written and spoken about topics including artificial intelligence in cybersecurity and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), focusing on technology risk assessment, security controls and organisational resilience.

At Persistent Systems, her mandate brings AI security together with broader cyber risk and digital transformation priorities. This reflects the increasing need for enterprises to consider security and resilience alongside AI deployment rather than treating them as separate initiatives.

Strengthening Trusted AI Adoption

Persistent Systems is positioning enterprise AI as an important part of its business strategy, with a focus on helping organisations move AI initiatives from experimentation toward operational deployment. Srinivasulu’s role aligns with this direction by placing cybersecurity and AI security within the broader transformation agenda.

Her focus will include helping customers and internal teams navigate emerging technology risks while pursuing new opportunities created by AI. The role also brings greater emphasis on building trusted and resilient technology environments as organisations scale their use of AI.

With cybersecurity, AI and digital transformation increasingly converging, Srinivasulu’s appointment adds a dedicated leadership focus to these areas at Persistent Systems. Her experience across cyber risk, data privacy and business resilience is expected to support the company’s engagement with enterprises navigating the security challenges associated with the next phase of AI adoption.
