First American India has elevated Gautam Mukherjee as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for India, strengthening the leadership of its global capability centre as the company continues to expand its engineering excellence, AI capabilities, and digital transformation initiatives.
In his new role, Mukherjee will lead the company's technology vision and strategy across India, overseeing engineering, product development, cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, and AI-driven innovation. He will be responsible for building scalable technology platforms, driving enterprise-wide digital transformation, and strengthening First American India's contribution to the company's global technology ecosystem.
As CTO, he will also focus on advancing platform engineering, accelerating cloud adoption, fostering innovation, and building high-performing engineering teams that support First American's long-term technology and business objectives.
Seasoned Technology Leader with Strong Engineering Background
Gautam Mukherjee brings more than two decades of experience across software engineering, enterprise technology, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, product development, and digital transformation.
Prior to this elevation, he served as Senior Vice President of Technology at First American, where he played a key role in strengthening engineering capabilities and driving technology-led innovation across multiple business functions.
Before joining First American, Mukherjee held several senior leadership positions, including Vice President – Platform Engineering at NextGen Healthcare, Managing Director and Head of India Engineering at Avalara, Engineering Manager at UnitedLex, Software Engineering Manager at Sigma-Micro (Fifth Gear), and Software Engineer at Kaplan Financial under The Washington Post Group. Earlier in his career, he also worked with Pilgrim's, Georgia Regents Health System, Texas State University Lamar, and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), building deep expertise across enterprise software, cloud technologies, healthcare platforms, and engineering leadership.
