Deloitte has appointed Guruprasad Ramamoorthy as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), strengthening its technology leadership as the professional services firm continues to accelerate digital transformation, cloud adoption, artificial intelligence (AI), and enterprise technology innovation. Ramamoorthy announced his new role through a LinkedIn post, marking his transition from S&P Global, where he spent several years leading global cloud and infrastructure operations.
In his new role, Ramamoorthy is expected to contribute to Deloitte's technology vision by driving innovation across cloud infrastructure, enterprise platforms, networking, cybersecurity, AI-enabled technologies, and digital transformation initiatives. While Deloitte has not publicly disclosed the specific scope of his CTO responsibilities, his appointment reflects the company's continued investment in strengthening technology leadership to support clients navigating complex digital transformation journeys.
Brings Extensive Global Technology Leadership Experience
Guruprasad Ramamoorthy joins Deloitte after an accomplished tenure at S&P Global, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Cloud and Infrastructure. In this leadership position, he managed a global organization of more than 1,000 technology professionals, overseeing cloud platforms, enterprise infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and AI-driven infrastructure operations across the company's worldwide business.
During his time at S&P Global, he held several senior leadership positions, including Vice President and Global Head of Cloud and Infrastructure, Global Head of Infrastructure and Network Services, and Global Head of Network Architecture, Engineering and Operations. He also served as the Technology Site Leader for the company's Global Talent Center in India.
His responsibilities included managing technology infrastructure supporting more than 80 global offices, over 20 data centres, and multi-cloud environments, while leading large-scale initiatives in software-defined infrastructure, cloud modernization, enterprise networking, and cyber resilience.
Strong Background Across Enterprise Technology
Prior to S&P Global, Ramamoorthy held senior technology leadership positions at Visa, BNY, Sify Technologies, HCLTech, and Saksoft, building deep expertise across enterprise infrastructure, cloud computing, IT operations, digital transformation, and large-scale technology modernization.
He also served as an advisory board member at cloud networking company Alkira, contributing to industry discussions around next-generation cloud networking technologies.
His career began at A.K. College of Engineering, where he worked as an Infrastructure Assistant before progressing through multiple leadership roles in enterprise technology over the past two decades.

Ramamoorthy's appointment comes at a time when organizations across industries are increasing investments in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data platforms, and enterprise modernization.
