Birlasoft has appointed Krishna Thiagarajan as Senior Vice President & Global Head – Data & AI, strengthening its leadership focus on one of the technology industry’s fastest-growing areas. In his new role, Krishna will bring extensive experience across data, analytics, artificial intelligence, generative AI, technology advisory and business transformation to the company’s global Data & AI initiatives.
Krishna joins Birlasoft with a diverse leadership background spanning several prominent technology organisations. Prior to this appointment, he held senior roles at Virtusa, Tech Mahindra, NTT DATA and Satyam Computer Services, building deep expertise in leading data-driven transformation and developing technology practices at scale.
Extensive Experience in Data and AI Leadership
At Virtusa, Krishna led the Analytics, Insights & Data business, while at Tech Mahindra, he served as Global Practice Head – Data & Analytics. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of technology and business, helping organisations leverage data and emerging technologies to address evolving business priorities.
His experience spans building and scaling technology practices, driving business growth, developing talent and advising senior business leaders on data- and AI-led transformation strategies. This broad expertise will be particularly relevant as enterprises increasingly move beyond AI experimentation towards deploying data and AI capabilities across their core business operations.
