The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) has appointed Vishal Rathod as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), strengthening its technology leadership as the mutual fund industry continues to embrace digital platforms, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and technology-driven regulatory frameworks.
Vishal brings more than a decade of leadership experience across IT strategy, digital transformation, cloud computing, information security, infrastructure and technology operations. His career has been largely focused on financial services, giving him experience in managing technology environments where security, resilience, compliance and operational efficiency are critical.
Strong Financial Services Technology Experience
Before joining AMFI, Vishal served as Assistant Vice President – IT at Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Limited (Arcil). In the role, he was involved in technology leadership and IT operations within the financial services ecosystem.
Earlier, Vishal held Chief Information Officer positions at NKGSB Bank and SICOM Ltd. Across these leadership roles, he worked on enterprise technology strategy, infrastructure modernisation, cloud migration, digital transformation and regulatory technology initiatives.
His experience also covers information security and compliance, areas that have become increasingly important as financial institutions expand their digital operations and manage growing volumes of sensitive customer and business data.
Driving Technology Priorities at AMFI
At AMFI, Vishal takes charge at a time when technology is playing an increasingly important role in shaping India's mutual fund ecosystem. Digital investor journeys, data-driven operations, cybersecurity and regulatory technology are becoming integral to how financial institutions and industry bodies operate.
