DT: What will be the tech trends adoption for enterprises in year 2019 to watch out?

Mr. Rajesh: In this digital era, human and machine partnership has not only disrupted our lives but have also transformed how organisations are functioning today. Some of the interesting trends to watch out for in 2019 will surely be:

  • Integration of digital technologies like AI, IOT in making faster and smarter decisions: As per recent 2018 Dell Technologies Index report, about 67% Indian enterprises have shown their interest in investing in IOT & about 61% showed interest in investing in AI.
  • Better collaboration between human and machines: According to the Vanson Bourne study 2018, 64% of Indian leaders believe that we will be more productive by collaborating more in 2030.
  • Emergence of digital conductors: Humans will become ‘digital conductors’ as society’s partnership with machines enters a new phase in its relationship, and business need to start thinking about how they can future-proof their infrastructure.

DT: How do you see the adoption of digital strategy among Indian Organizations?

Mr. Rajesh: Organizations in India have reached a momentous intersection where technologies and business meet together to create a new and improved digital world. I am delighted with India’s steady progress towards adopting a digital strategy. Emerging technologies will reshape the way we work and live. Being at the centre of this will deliver manifold benefits to the business. Hence why digital transformation should be the linchpin of any organisation – driving growth and success.

DT: How do you see the overall support from Indian government for Digital Transformation Journey in India?

Mr. Rajesh: We are very optimistic about India's digital growth potential. Government of India’s progressive digital schemes like Digital India, Smart cities, Aadhaar, JAM etc. have proved to be a turning point for the entire economy. In fact, Dell EMC has been extensively working on these key government initiatives. In the past one year, we have had transformational deals across all major sectors such as Telecom, BFSI etc. We touch 1 billion lives in India with Aadhar. Majority of the large banks use our technology. In fact, The State Bank of India has partnered with us to digitally consolidate 25000 branches by the company’s data centres (along with NSE and BSE too) which are across the countries, not just in cities. We have been working closely with the government under the smart cities mission in India. For example, we have partnered with various system integrators and application providers who use our Infrastructure stack for smart solutions. Some examples include: City wide Garbage tracking and monitoring solution in Mohali, Punjab, RFID based solid waste management in Jabalpur, e-Classroom project in Indore, Storage and Compute for city wide solutions in Ahmedabad.

DT: What is your overall road map to escalate your growth further in CY 2019?
