Tally Education Private Limited (TEPL) has joined hands with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to launch a skill training program on “Computerized Accounting using Tally.ERP 9”.
TEPL is a strategic arm of a leading business management software company, Tally Solutions Private Limited (TSPL). TEPL provides skill based training for empowerment of employees through skill-development and knowledge-enhancement. It seeks to bridge the gap between training and placements and help the industry meet the demand of tally-trained professionals through its skill training program on computerized accounting. TEPL has tied up with state-run institutions for imparting vocational training to empower the youth.
Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) is a public sector organization established by Andhra Pradesh government to promote rapid development in the state.
The joint initiative will deliver “Instructor Led” training through a unique training model, which integrates colleges across Andhra Pradesh. This is in the wake of a need that has been felt for increasing the outreach of vocational education amongst the youth and upcoming professionals in the state.
The biggest challenge today in the Indian education system is to impart skill-based vocational education to the youth. This is further worsened by a mismatch between demand and supply for skilled manpower. The outreach of vocational education is still not up to the mark not only in rural areas but also urban areas. In order to bridge this demand and supply gap of skilled workforce across the country, skill-development organizations and councils have been set up with the aim to develop a deployable talent pool. Till date 1,34,429 candidates have been trained under Star scheme of IT-ITES Sector Skills Council, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, out of which 94,395 candidates have passed. The IT &ITeS industry is expected to reach USD 300 billion by 2020 driven by rising demand in domestic market, along with increasing IT Services exports. The CAGR for 2013-2020 is estimated to be 16 percent. The estimation of incremental man-power requirement from 2013 to 2017 in the IT sector in India is expected to be around 3.9 million.
Likewise, the joint initiative of TEPL and APSSDC also seeks to impart vocational education to potential candidates in computerized accounting using Tally.ERP 9. The program aims at empowering the faculty members of colleges across Andhra Pradesh through a Train the Trainer program on “Computerized Accounting using Tally.ERP 9” conducted by Tally Education. The colleges will be required to register their faculty members with APSSDC for seeking training sessions for Tally.ERP 9. Job fairs will be organized jointly by TEPL and APSSDC for the students of colleges enrolled for this program.
The joint initiative seeks to address both the issues of employability for students and talent acquisition for employers. The program curriculum has been so designed as to keep minutest of details in mind, as per industry standards. The proposed training program will not only transform students into skilled professionals but also empower them to make significant contributions in their career.
