Quick Heal to Offer Degree Program for UG & PG under Cybersecurity

 Quick Heal Academy, a division of Quick Heal Technologies Limited, has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SavitribaiPhule Pune University, Institute of Forensic Science, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University and Chitkara University, Punjab.

As per the MoU, Quick Heal Academy will collaborate with the Universities to design and offer degree programs for under graduates and graduates in the field of Cybersecurity.  

‘Quick Heal Academy’, was launched in June 2016 with the objective of creating skilled cybersecurity professionals to address the burgeoning need arising from various industry verticals. Cybersecurity education, consultation and skilled manpower is still lacking in the industry at large and to address this, it is important to first bridge the gap between Academia and Industry. With this objective, Quick Heal Academy is creating and imparting cybersecurity education programs, globally to build skilled and employable talent pool in the area of cybersecurity. www.quickhealacademy.com

The Academy has designed an ‘M-Tech in Information Technology’ for Savitribai Phule Pune University. It is a weekend program and will also provide an opportunity to students to interact with industry stalwarts. The comprehensive course structure has been designed in consultation with eminent industry experts.  

With the signing of the MoU with the Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Quick Heal Academy is collaborating togive impetus to the Government of India’s vision of ‘Digital India’ as well as ‘Startup India’. To accomplish this, the Academy aims at providing education and training, cybersecurity services, research and innovation and incubation centre.

Quick Heal Academy has signed a collaboration agreement with the Chitkara University,  Punjab and designed a ‘Cyber Security Program’ for under graduate students of the University. The University was established by the Punjab State Legislature under the Chitkara University Act. This program will cater to BE/B-Tech students and will include topics such as; Cryptography, Computer Forensics, Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering and Network Security.

Commenting on the collaboration, Kailash Katkar, MD & CEO, Quick Heal Technologies Limited said; “Being a pioneer of IT and network security products and solutions in India, we consider it to be our prime responsibility to enable the availability of skilled talent to the industry at large to meet their IT security challenges.” He further added; “Establishing Quick Heal Academy and its collaboration with reputed Universities to design and offer courses in cybersecurity is a step in this direction.”

The Academy strives to create trust in cyberspace by collaborating with stakeholders from both Government and corporate bodies. It aims to partner with educational institutions globally to establish Centers of Excellence for cyber awareness and skill development. The Academy is also looking forward to collaborating in joint research and development projects with Government organizations, industry, and academia. Another important objective of the Academy is to educate and facilitate awareness of applicable cyber regulatory framework and compliances.
