ESS Distribution have been dealing with security software and solutions for past seven years, and its team boasts of more than 20 years of experience in security industry. The company is poised to take the business forward in the coming year. Zakir Rangwala, country head, ESS Distribution discusses the company's roadmap with DT for 2016.
Q. What did the year 2015 give your company?
A. 2015 was a good year for us. We grew reasonably well, increased our reach across the nation, added more partner’s to our list. Internally our team also grew and we added staff in sales and presales team.
Q. What makes your customers and partners rest faith in your brand?
A. We follow basics but very clear channel policies. There are no surprises and our partners earn a decent profit promoting our products. We only sell through the channel. On the consumer front, we promise proper support and service. Today, we have customers who have been with us for the last 5 years or more. Being simple yet effective is our mantra.
Q. What regulatory changes do you expect from the government?
A. Government should simplify the taxes. In software, most of the times the taxes are much more than the profit made by the reseller. If GST becomes a reality, it might address some of the issues.
Q. How does the channel help you to reach out to your potential customers?
A. Our partners are our strength. They speak about our products in the market and we make sure we train them properly on our solutions, support them and train their engineers as often possible. We work with partners who give quality service and support to their users and in turn like to earn good profits. We have divided our channels in 3 category i.e. Platinum, Gold & Silver. We distribute via more than 4500+ partners nationally.
Q. What are your assurances for providing excellent service support to your customer?
A. We have a dedicated toll free support line for all our consumer which works during regular office hours. We take remote session of even a customer who has bought 1 license and help them use our product to the maximum. We have SMB and corporate users using our products for the last 4-5 years.
Q. Have you laid the plan for 2016?
A. We are focused on increasing our reach and to spread more across the country. Training our partners and their engineers on a continuous basis on our products. Being a solution distribution house, ESS will be adding more solutions in the coming year. We have the necessary channel reach and the people in our company to sell and support the new solutions.
