HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones announced the launch of the Nokia 2 in India. Nokia phones are associated with great battery life and with this announcement they take it to a whole new level. With two-day battery life, the Nokia 2 is built to keep going long after other smartphones need recharging.

Its impressive two-day battery lifei doesn’t come at the expense of performance. Combining a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ Mobile Platform and a 5 inch, high quality display with the pure, secure and up to date AndroidTM experience, the Nokia 2 offers technology that you can depend on, all day every day.

Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, said, “People rely on their phones so much these days with many people subconsciously rationing their battery life when out and about so they can last the day. We don’t think you should have to do less with your phone which is why we created a smartphone that can power through when other devices need a pit stop.

“With the Nokia 2, we wanted to replicate the unique Android experience we’ve delivered so far with the long-lasting battery which so many fans associate and expect from their Nokia phones. To make this a reality, every component of the Nokia 2- from the display to battery, chipset to system design - has been engineered to draw as little power as possible from the huge battery to give fans a long-lasting phone they can rely on.”

Larry Paulson, Vice President and President, Qualcomm India said, “The new generation of Indians have leapfrogged to the digital world by embracing the smartphone. Mobile is the key device for over 90% Indians to access the internet.  India is now the leading mobile data consumption market in the world. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platform, the new Nokia 2 brings reliability, affordability and cutting-edge battery life to meet the requirements of the new age smartphone user.”
