Exide Industries Limited has appointed Manoj Kumar Agarwal as Director – Finance & Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 1st May 2025. This appointment follows the retirement of Asish Kumar Mukherjee, who served as CFO for 18 years. The transition was confirmed during the company’s board meeting held on 30th April 2025.
Agarwal, who joined Exide in February 2023 as Deputy CFO, has played a key role in overseeing critical functions such as Finance, Accounts, Audit, Treasury, Taxation, IT, and Procurement. In a short span, he has demonstrated strong leadership and delivered substantial contributions to Exide’s financial and operational systems.
With over 30 years of experience, Agarwal brings a wealth of expertise from his previous roles at prominent companies like Tega Industries Ltd and Vedanta Limited - Aluminium Business Limited. His deep knowledge of financial management, combined with his ability to drive operational efficiency, positions him well to lead Exide’s continued growth and strategic financial initiatives.
