Kaspersky conducted the "Cyber Suraksha & Hope Initiative," a CSR event held in association with CanKids, at the Post Graduate Institute of Child Health (PGICH), Sector 30, Noida. CanKids provides specialised, holistic cancer care for children up to 18 years of age at PGICH, handling over 120 new diagnoses annually.

The initiative, themed "Protecting Lives Beyond Technology," reflects Kaspersky's broader commitment to safety across all spheres of life, extending its focus from digital protection to the everyday wellbeing of the communities it serves. It is with this vision that Kaspersky partnered with CanKids, Café Sheroes, and Music Factory to bring the day to life for young patients, their families, and hospital staff.

Around 150-180 CanKids patients and their families took part in the event. It opened with a welcome address and a cybersecurity awareness session on safe internet practices, fraud prevention and child online safety. Additionally, Music Factory also led a community engagement segment with a live music performance, a round of Antakshari and a game of musical chairs. The activities brought children, parents and volunteers together.

Jaydeep Singh, General Manager for India Region, Kaspersky, commented, "Kaspersky in India is committed to supporting the communities we serve. Through this initiative, we wanted to connect with these incredible children and their families beyond conversations about online safety, creating meaningful moments of hope and togetherness. We are grateful to our partners at CanKids, Café Sheroes, and Music Factory for partnering with us to make this day possible. At Kaspersky, we believe that cybersecurity is ultimately about people. Technology protects lives, but it is compassion, connection, and community that make a lasting difference.”

Kaspersky's mascot, Midori Kuma, a green bear who serves as the company's "cybersecurity evangelist," engaged with children at the event, offering a friendly, approachable face to its safety messaging. The day concluded with the distribution of gifts and care packages, along with a wish wall and gratitude notes activity, followed by a group photo session. As part of its contribution, Kaspersky also extended a donation to CanKids to support its ongoing work with pediatric cancer patients.

The initiative is part of Kaspersky's ongoing commitment to community engagement in India. It combines the company's cybersecurity expertise with meaningful social contribution, reinforcing its focus on protecting not just digital lives, but the people and communities it works with.
