
Jyoti Sharma has taken charge as the new Chief Executive Officer of the NASSCOM Foundation from 2nd January with immediate effect. Succeeding Nidhi Bhasin, Jyoti brings profound expertise and deep knowledge in social impact areas such as gender equality, child rights, education, climate change, and disaster management.
A visionary leader holding over 20 years, Jyoti has expertise in spearheading program development, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilization and is set to play an instrumental role in driving the change.
Jyoti Sharma is a distinguished Country Representative with a proven leadership record in the international development sector in India and South Asia, having served with Practical Action Consulting for around two years. She also demonstrated her leadership as the Country Director of Organic Cotton Accelerator.
Her expertise spans corporate social responsibility, nonprofit organizations, organizational development, operational management, fundraising, and team building. With a robust background in community and social services, Jyoti is well-positioned to contribute effectively to initiatives that foster positive social change and community development, leveraging her extensive experience to drive impactful outcomes in the sector.

Nasscom Foundation was established in 2001 and is a nonprofit organization that serves as the representative of the Indian technology industry.
Jyoti is well prepared to give her best to strengthen the TechForGood legacy of Nasscom Foundation by expanding its reach and impact.
"My focus is to ensure that the synergy of technology and social innovation paves the way for India to achieve its vision of digital equity and inclusive growth," she said.
A veteran leader Jyoti Sharma, began her career as a Program Officer with ActionAid UK, dedicating over four years to the role. She then served as Programme Officer (South Asia) at DG European Commission Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO). Later, she joined Save the Children India, excelling as the Head of Institutional Partnerships. Her expertise in social issues led her to the World Resources Institute, where she demonstrated her skills as Director of Institutional Development. Throughout her career, Jyoti has consistently showcased her leadership and commitment to addressing critical social challenges.
Jyoti has a solid background in community and social services, holding a Masterโs degree in Social Work with a specialization in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. She also earned a Bachelorโs degree in Arts from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University. Her extensive expertise equips her to make significant contributions to initiatives focused on fostering positive social change and community development. Her educational qualifications and practical experience position her to lead and implement impactful programs that benefit society, demonstrating her commitment to driving meaningful transformations in communities.
