Google Cloud hosted Cloud Day India 2026 at Andaz Delhi, bringing together over 600 founders, promoters, managing directors and technology leaders from India’s fast-growing small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and mid-market enterprises across sectors including manufacturing, retail, logistics, media and financial services.

India’s small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are central to the country’s Viksit Bharat ambitions, with AI emerging as a powerful enabler of their next phase of growth. Based on the World Economic Forum’s Report AI is projected to contribute $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030 and 52% of organizations globally already deploying AI agents in production, businesses are entering a new era of agentic AI. Moving beyond basic conversational tools, AI agents can reason across business data, connect workflows and execute complex tasks, helping lean teams improve productivity and scale operations.

However, turning this potential into measurable business outcomes remains a challenge. Fragmented data, legacy systems and unclear ROI often create an ‘AI Value Gap’, preventing businesses from moving beyond experimentation. At Google Cloud Day India 2026, Google Cloud showcased how its unified AI stack, combining Gemini models, Google Workspace, data analytics and secure infrastructure, helps Indian SMBs bridge this gap through practical, scalable AI solutions.

The event addressed the realities of India's growing businesses, from family-run manufacturers and regional retailers to logistics operators and emerging brands. Through its enterprise-grade AI capabilities and certified Indian partners, Google Cloud demonstrated how businesses can integrate AI into everyday operations without lengthy technology overhauls or large engineering teams.

"Across Asia Pacific, the businesses pulling ahead are not those with the biggest IT budgets, but those turning AI into a continuous engine for growth, and India's small and mid-sized businesses are leading that shift," said Taru Dahiya, Managing Director, SMB, Google Cloud Asia Pacific. "The playbook is clear: eliminate operational drag today and reinvest that capacity to invent the future. As the only provider with first-party solutions across the entire AI stack, from DeepMind research and Gemini models to Workspace and secure infrastructure, we give every business the same AI that powers Google products used by billions. The technology is ready now, and with our partners on the ground, it works for businesses of any size, at every scale."

This momentum is already translating into tangible business impact across India, with companies such as Siyaram’s, Neuberg Diagnostics, Tinna Rubber, Apsara Ice Creams, Woodland, Cube Highways, Bikanervala, TR Chadha CA Firm, Johnson Lifts and The Printers Mysore leveraging Google Cloud’s AI capabilities, alongside local partners, to streamline operations, accelerate innovation and deliver measurable business outcomes.

These examples demonstrate how Google Cloud is helping businesses move beyond AI experimentation by providing a stable, reliable foundation that reduces complexity, enables confident decision-making and drives predictable, sustainable business growth.

Tinna Rubber & Infrastructure Ltd, which recycles nearly 100,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyre rubber and steel each year, moved from legacy email to Google Workspace with partner Infiflex Technologies. The company has since recorded nearly 100% uptime, a 95% improvement in email delivery and no critical data loss as it expands into the Middle East and Africa.

Siyaram’s, one of India’s most recognized apparel brands, is leveraging Google Cloud’s AI capabilities to drive greater operational efficiency and smarter business decisions. Over the past two years, the company has integrated AI-powered predictive analytics and inventory management to forecast demand across more than 40,000 products, factoring in product, location and weekly demand patterns.

The company is also using Nano Banana Pro to generate marketing creatives and Omni for short-form video creation, streamlining content production and reducing manual effort. By automating workflows and enabling data-driven decision-making, Siyaram’s has significantly reduced operational costs while improving business agility.

In media and publishing, The Printers Mysore, the 70-year-old publisher of Deccan Herald and Prajavani, moved over 1,000 employees across 25 offices to Google Workspace in just one month with Google Cloud Premier Partner Shivaami. Real-time collaboration has replaced file exchange over email, helping the publisher protect its print legacy while growing its digital presence.

At Johnson Lifts, deploying Workspace and AppSheet to 2,000 field maintenance workers didn't just connect the team—it drove a 10% increase in overall productivity and slashed IT support tickets by 20%

Closing the AI Value Gap with One Unified Stack

Small and mid-sized businesses cannot afford the 'integration tax' of stitching together separate vendors. Google Cloud addresses this with a unified stack in which every layer works together  out of the box. Gemini in Google Workspace and Gemini Enterprise let teams draft proposals, summarize customer threads and build no-code agents across Indian languages, without technical training.

Beyond everyday productivity, agentic workflows tackle frontline bottlenecks, from AI-powered defect inspection on factory production lines  to Gemini agents that reconcile e-way bills and vendor invoices. Underpinning this, Google Cloud's regions in Mumbai and Delhi NCR, combined with built-in threat protection, provide smaller businesses enterprise-grade security from day one, and customer data is never used to train foundation models.

Built on Google Cloud, Landed by Local Partners

Recognizing that most growing businesses do not have in-house AI teams, Google Cloud works with certified Indian partners that bring pre-built accelerators, such as connecting Tally and SAP data to BigQuery, along with on-ground training and managed services. Attendees explored these capabilities through solution tracks, hands-on Antigravity labs and an executive panel featuring Chandu Thota and industry leaders.

Small and medium enterprises account for nearly one-third of India's GDP and over 35% of its manufacturing output. Backed by Google's US$15 billion commitment to India's digital and AI infrastructure, Google Cloud Day underscored that AI is no longer the preserve of large enterprises but is becoming an economic equalizer for businesses of every size.
