Debjani Ghosh, a prominent figure in the IT industry, President at NASSCOM, and a Distinguished Fellow at Niti Aayog has announced her resignation, bringing her impactful 7-year tenure with the organization to a close.
During her proprietorship with NASSCOM and Niti Aayog, Debjani spearheaded initiatives that transformed “India's tech story” that “continues to inspire the world. Being instrumental in developing the ‘Think Digital, Think India’ initiative, she aimed to establish the country as a center for digital innovation and talent.
As a NASSCOM President, Debjani was actively working with the government and industry to accelerate the growth of the tech industry and her agenda revolved around three main points - re-skilling and talent development, strengthening the country’s innovation culture, and collaborating with governments of different countries of the world and open new opportunities to India market. In her long resignation note, she expresses heartfelt gratitude to her team, leaders, and the legacy she is leaving behind.
Uncovering her plans ahead, Debjani reveals that she will be setting up the pioneering Frontier Tech Think Tank under NITI Aayog, a dedicated initiative to advance India’s preparedness in frontier technologies to accelerate economic growth and drive societal development.
