Women’s Day is a celebration of resilience, strength, and leadership. It is about honoring women who break barriers, redefine industries, and pave the way for future generations. One such inspiring leader is Kamini Talwar, a formidable force in the male-dominated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. As the Co-founder and Director of Iris Global Services, Kamini has played an instrumental role in shaping the IT distribution landscape in India, leading her company to a turnover of Rs 3,000 crore.

Her journey is one of perseverance, strategic brilliance, and a relentless commitment to excellence. From setting up Apple’s Distribution Channel in India to expanding Iris Global to over 10,000 reseller partners, Kamini has established herself as an industry stalwart.

A Visionary Leader in IT Distribution

Founded in 1996, Iris Global Services has evolved from distributing products of leading brands like Dell, HP, and Acer to managing over 70 brands today. Under Kamini’s leadership, the company has flourished, expanding to 25 offices across the country.

Her leadership style is precise and hands-on. She strongly believes, “People don’t do what you expect; they do what you inspect.” Her keen analytical skills and strategic decision-making ensure the company's continued growth and innovation.

Pioneering AI and Next-Gen IT Solutions

As technology advances, Kamini is leading Iris Global toward AI-driven IT solutions. The company has strategically positioned itself in the evolving tech landscape through:

✔ Networking Stack – Collaborating with Ruckus, TP-Link, Ray, HFCL, Molex, and Infinity Lab.

✔ Cybersecurity – Partnering with Haltdos, Bosch, and Sparsh.

✔ Power Solutions – Distributing products from Schneider, Microtek, Delta, Fuji, Hitachi Hi-Rel, Elnova, BPE, and Switching Aveo.

By aligning with AI enterprises, Iris Global is transitioning from a traditional distributor to a key infrastructure enabler in high-performance computing. Kamini states, "We are developing next-gen AI integrators, aligning with the demand for advanced computing resources like servers, networking, and power products.”

Empowering Women in ICT

Kamini is a strong advocate for women in technology and is vocal about the gender gap in the ICT sector. “The number of women entering ICT is still very small, and that’s a concern,” she says.

Her message to women is one of empowerment: "It is a privilege to be a woman—so powerful that many fear it. Women have immense strength, but behind every successful woman is her sweat, tears, pain, and determination. The world has worked to empower women, but it forgot to teach men how to live with empowered women."

She also emphasizes the importance of communication skills: "Confidence crumbles if communication skills are weak. Women need to own the room, speak with impact, and move people with their intelligence."

A Legacy of Excellence

Kamini Talwar’s journey is a testament to the power of vision, hard work, and resilience. As Iris Global continues to evolve with AI, automation, and smart infrastructure, she remains at the forefront, steering the company toward new heights.

This Women’s Day, we celebrate Kamini Talwar—The Iron Lady of IT, an inspirational leader, and a force of change in the technology industry. An IT Diva, without a doubt.
