APeJ Sovereign Cloud Market to Reach $36.7 Billion by 2027, Says IDC

According to a recent IDC report titled Asia/Pacific excluding Japan (APeJ) Sovereign Cloud Forecast, 2022- 2027, the APeJ sovereign cloud market is set to surge, forecasted to grow at a CAGR of 31.5% and reach $36.7 billion by 2027. APeJ Sovereign Cloud spending grew at a year-over-year (YoY), and IDC expects the sovereign cloud market to grow at 34.3% in 2024 as organizations in the region ramp up investments in sovereign cloud solutions as part of the growing deployment of their hybrid cloud strategy.

Growing concerns about digital sovereignty with data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance – particularly around data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance – are driving organizations to adopt cloud capabilities and solutions to address digital sovereignty requirements," says Daphne Chung, Research Director, Cloud Services and Software, IDC Asia/Pacific.
