AMD has ended fiscal 2025 on a historic high, capturing record market share across server and client segments, according to the latest fourth-quarter report from Mercury Research. The company achieved a record 41.3% server revenue share and posted significant gains in desktop and notebook segments, underlining accelerated adoption of EPYC and Ryzen processors globally. The momentum is also strongly reflected in India, where AMD’s focused channel and enterprise strategy is driving increased traction.

AMD’s fourth-quarter 2025 performance signals a major milestone in its competitive positioning within the global compute market. As per the latest Mercury Research data, the company recorded a 41.3% server revenue share, reflecting a 4.9 percentage point increase year-over-year (Y/Y) and a 1.8 point rise quarter-over-quarter (Q/Q). This marks the highest server share in the company’s history, driven primarily by robust EPYC processor adoption across hyperscale cloud providers and enterprise data centers.

The client business also delivered impressive gains. AMD’s overall client revenue share rose to 31.2%, up 7.4 points Y/Y and 3.0 points Q/Q. Within the segment, desktop processors stood out, reaching 42.6% revenue share, a significant 14.6 point Y/Y increase. Notebook revenue share climbed to 24.9%, up 3.3 points both Y/Y and Q/Q, reflecting steady growth in mobile computing demand.

Overall, AMD’s total compute revenue share increased to 35.4%, rising 6.8 points Y/Y and 2.9 points Q/Q, underscoring consistent share expansion across every major category. The growth momentum has been largely fueled by accelerated adoption of AMD’s latest-generation EPYC processors, which offer high core density, energy efficiency, and strong price-performance advantages. Enterprises are increasingly deploying EPYC platforms for virtualization, cloud-native workloads, AI processing, and data analytics, strengthening AMD’s foothold in the data center segment.

On the client side, the Ryzen portfolio continues to resonate strongly with OEMs, system integrators, gamers, and enterprise users. Demand for high-performance desktops for content creation and gaming, coupled with growing preference for power-efficient notebook processors, has contributed to AMD’s rising desktop and mobile share.

India: A Strategic Growth Engine

India has emerged as a significant growth contributor for AMD, supported by focused efforts from the local leadership team. In recent times the company has strengthened its channel ecosystem, expanded enterprise engagements, and enhanced brand visibility across key segments. AMD’s India strategy has centered on enabling partners with training programs, go-to-market initiatives, and targeted campaigns that highlight the performance and efficiency advantages of EPYC and Ryzen platforms.

With India witnessing rapid expansion in cloud infrastructure, AI adoption, and digital transformation projects across enterprises and government sectors, AMD is increasingly being considered for high-performance computing and data center deployments.

In the consumer and commercial PC markets, Ryzen-powered systems are gaining ground across price bands, driven by rising demand for hybrid work, digital education, and creator workloads. OEM collaborations and aggressive market outreach have further strengthened AMD’s positioning within India’s competitive PC landscape.

As enterprises modernize their IT infrastructure and AI-driven workloads accelerate, AMD’s product roadmap and execution consistency appear to be resonating strongly with customers worldwide. The record 2025 market share performance reinforces AMD’s growing stature in both global and Indian markets, signaling continued momentum heading into 2026.
