Mohapatra announced her departure through a LinkedIn post, indicating that she plans to take a brief pause before embarking on the next phase of her professional journey.
"Switching gears, taking a pause and refreshing before a new journey. After a very fulfilling nearly 5 years at Adobe India, its time to move on. Would like to take this opportunity to thank my customers, partners, colleagues and all stakeholders for their engagement and support along the way," she wrote.
Mohapatra made history in September 2021 when she became the first woman to lead Adobe's India operations. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in strengthening Adobe's market presence and driving customer engagement across its portfolio spanning Creative Cloud, Experience Cloud, Document Cloud, and emerging AI-powered solutions.
Her leadership came at a time when organizations across industries were accelerating investments in digital experiences, cloud-based workflows, content creation platforms, and customer engagement technologies. Adobe India also witnessed growing momentum around AI-driven innovation as enterprises increasingly explored intelligent automation, personalized customer experiences, and generative AI applications.
Under her stewardship, Adobe continued to deepen its engagement with enterprises, developers, creative professionals, and ecosystem partners, while contributing to the company's broader vision of enabling digital-first business transformation.
A respected technology industry veteran, Mohapatra brings nearly three decades of experience across enterprise technology, digital transformation, sales leadership, and business strategy. Prior to joining Adobe, she served as Vice President of Digital Sales for the Asia Pacific region at IBM.
Before her IBM journey, Mohapatra began her professional career with PwC, laying the foundation for what would become a distinguished career in technology and business leadership.
