Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has received an add-on Advance Purchase Order (APO) worth ₹2,903.22 crore, inclusive of taxes, from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). The order pertains to the planning, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and annual maintenance of 4G mobile networks at 18,685 locations across the country.
TCS confirmed the receipt of this APO on May 20, 2025, under its disclosure obligations in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. This announcement builds upon TCS's earlier communication dated May 22, 2023, where the IT major had detailed its initial engagement with BSNL on the nationwide 4G rollout initiative.
While the APO is a significant milestone, TCS mentioned that detailed purchase orders will follow after BSNL completes specific conditions and documentation as outlined in the APO.
This strategic collaboration between TCS and BSNL is part of a larger vision to modernize India’s telecom infrastructure and enhance mobile connectivity in underserved and remote areas. The partnership is also a major step in realizing the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) initiative, with Indian companies playing a key role in telecom network deployment.
With this add-on order, TCS reaffirms its leadership in driving large-scale, mission-critical digital transformation projects in India’s core sectors.
