TP-Link has officially entered the next phase of wireless networking with the launch of its complete Wi-Fi 8 portfolio across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region at the TP-Link APAC Summit 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The company has positioned the launch as a regional milestone, becoming the first brand in APAC to introduce a complete Wi-Fi 8 portfolio covering enterprise, business and consumer connectivity.
The summit brought together TP-Link teams and partners from across APAC, with the company's India leadership team also in attendance. Lynn Wang, Regional head – SAARC, TP-Link; Sanjay Sehgal, CEO and MD; Bijoy Alaylo, Director and COO; Savio Almeida, AVP Marketing & Operations; and Ashu Virmani, National Head (Alliance), TP-Link India, were among the company's leadership representatives present at the event.
For the Indian market, the Wi-Fi 8 announcement is particularly significant as TP-Link prepares to expand its next-generation wireless networking capabilities through its Omada Wi-Fi 8 lineup. The portfolio includes indoor, outdoor and wall-plate access points designed to address requirements around higher throughput, improved interference mitigation and greater network capacity.

According to Bijoy, the company is working toward creating a benchmark combination of networking and surveillance through these gateways.
