Since joining SWRE in 2018, he has played a vital role in expanding the company's footprint in the international market and taking its renewable energy initiatives to an advanced level. Before this role, for more than five years, Chandra led International Solar Business as a Chief Operating Officer, spearheading solar EPC projects across the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, and Africa (EMEA), following his promotion as a CEO of Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
He has held key leadership roles, including his instinct as a President and CEO – Infrastructure and Power Business at Punj Lloyd Limited and Chief Operating Officer at Lanco. His career started as a Deputy General Manager at NTPC Limited, where he gained extensive expertise in project planning and Monitoring. He actively follows industry best practices by participating in PMA/IPMA initiatives.
Having a strong educational background, Chandra holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA from IGNOU, and an Advanced Diploma in Program Management and Project Management from the Asian Institute of Management.
