SAP Inaugurates 41-Acre Centre of Excellence in Devanahalli, Bengaluru

In a landmark moment for India’s digital economy, SAP inaugurated its cutting-edge Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. Spanning an expansive 41 acres, the facility marks one of SAP’s most significant investments in India and underscores Karnataka’s growing stature as a global hub for innovation and sustainable technology leadership.

The inauguration was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah and the Minister for IT & BT, Shri Priyank M Kharge, signifying the Government of Karnataka’s continued commitment to driving high-impact collaboration between industry and policy.

The new campus is a flagship investment by SAP, reaffirming its long-term commitment to India and its thriving digital ecosystem. Built to accommodate over 15,000 professionals, the Centre will serve as a catalyst for advanced research, product development, and global delivery operations.

On inaugurating the massive CoE, Sri Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister of Karnataka expressed his pleasure over his X account, “I had the honour of inaugurating SAP Labs India’s state-of-the-art Innovation Park in Devanahalli, Bengaluru — a proud moment for Karnataka and a major milestone in our journey as India’s innovation capital. Spread across 41 acres, this new campus reflects SAP’s deep trust in our ecosystem and reinforces Karnataka’s position as a global technology hub. This landmark event marks the beginning of a new chapter in Karnataka’s partnership with global industry leaders, committed to building a sustainable, future-ready economy.”

Highlighting the strategic significance of the development, Minister for IT & BT, Shri Priyank Kharge, shared on his official X account, “It is heartening to see SAP deepening its roots in Bengaluru, their home away from home. Today, SAP Labs India is driving cutting edge innovation, with one in four SAP patents globally now originating from India and a significant share of their AI and R&D work being led from this very city. Congratulations to the entire SAP team on this milestone and looking forward to deeper partnerships in the future.”

The Centre of Excellence has been designed with a strong emphasis on sustainability. It is envisioned as a net-zero, water-positive, and carbon-neutral campus, setting new benchmarks for responsible innovation and environmentally conscious infrastructure.
