In a significant development for India’s surveillance ecosystem, Ahmedabad-based Prizor Viztech Ltd. has announced a 105% growth in its annual results (AY 25-26), as India’s CCTV industry witnesses a regulatory and structural shift. The growth comes at a time when the Indian government has tightened regulations around surveillance equipment, mandating stricter cybersecurity compliance and restricting non-certified imports, particularly from Chinese manufacturers.nced
Commenting on the results, Dr. Mitali Gauswami, Managing Director of Prizor Viztech Ltd. said, “It has been a year of many decisions, challenges and continuous effort from our teams and partners. While the growth is encouraging, what stood out for us this year was the strength of our distribution network. The trust our partners placed in us and the consistency with which our teams supported them played a key role in driving this outcome.
The recent ban on Chinese CCTV brands has significantly reshaped the Indian market. New rules mandate that all internet-connected cameras meet stricter norms around security, firmware testing and encryption.
Speaking about the shift, she said, “With the new regulations and the ban coming into effect, the conversation is no longer just about pricing. We believe the next phase of competition will be defined by technology and trust.
The company noted that the results reflect the earlier operating environment and the full impact of the new regulations will become clearer over time.
“Looking ahead, Prizor has outlined a focused strategy for the next 2–3 years, aiming to evolve into a technology-led, fully integrated player in the surveillance ecosystem. The company has already begun expanding its product portfolio, strengthening its manufacturing infrastructure, and investing in technology and software capabilities to align with the changing market dynamics”, she said.
