PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays and complementary solutions, is delighted to announce it will, for the first time, be showcasing its range of smart and sustainable ‘across campus’ display products and software solutions at DIDAC India 23 (October 17-19) in Bengaluru.

Joining 210 other local and international exhibitors at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, DIDAC India – the largest annual education and technology event in Asia and the only of its kind in India – offers a unique platform to showcase the latest trends in the education industry. Now in its twelfth year, DIDAC India is a destination for education leaders, policymakers, academics, professionals, administrators, channel partners, teachers, and teaching faculties from around the globe, with visitor numbers topping 19,000 in 2022.

Exhibiting on booth C1, PPDS’ debut attendance at the show is part of an accelerated strategy and commitment to delivering complete, campus wide communications and highly advanced and more sustainable educational solutions to schools, colleges and universities in India, and across Asia.

Best-in-class solutions

From innovative, smart interactive classrooms to digital menu boards in canteens, PPDS’ education specialists will be on hand at DIDAC India to showcase, discuss, and demonstrate a range of Philips digital signage, interactive, and advanced Colour ePaper displays, as well as associated software, designed and tailored to offer advanced teaching and learning opportunities, while delivering more streamlined and tailored communications throughout any campus of any size.

Education products and software featured on the PPDS stand at DIDAC India 2023 will include:

·     Philips Interactive E-Line 4K education displays (65”, 75, 86”): PPDS’ latest powerful Android 11 best-in-class interactive education display designed to elevate the learning experience and inspire creative minds. The brilliantly designed Philips Interactive E-Line boasts an anti-glare and anti-reflection 4K screen, including blue light filter on 4052E models, to ensure content is always the focal point in any lighting condition. Equally impressive on the inside, it includes a plethora of features that enable students to design, invent, collaborate, and translate their ideas for the real world.

·     Philips Tableaux: No power, no problem. The Philips Tableaux from PPDS is one of the most talked about digital signage displays of 2023. Launched at ISE earlier this year, the groundbreaking solution has already won a succession of industry awards for its pioneering approach to digital signage and sustainability. Allowing users to show a full colour image without using a single kilowatt of energy, these displays are ideal in areas where there is no power supply, for wayfinding, information, and more. Not to be missed!

·     Philips Signage D-Line: Designed to be seen, the robust and dependable 4K Philips Signage D-Line Series with Android SoC is the perfect solution to deliver key information to students, whether in the classroom, corridor, canteen, library, or student accommodation. Designed for 24/7 use and available in 43”-98” variants, the Philips Signage D-Line can adjust around the exact needs and requirements of the environment in which it is used – from wayfinding to digital menus in the canteen, to live broadcasts of the school teams' sports events. With extensive remote management capabilities, including PPDS Wave compatibility – see below.

Waving in a new era for display management

As PPDS continues to evolve and expand into AV/IT, visitors to the Philips stand at DIDAC India will be among the first to experience PPDS Wave, an evolutionary cloud-based display management ecosystem, designed to bring a fresh and future-proofed approach to controlling and managing educational display fleets of any size, from anywhere.

In a continuing climate of rising energy prices, PPDS Wave Controller can play a pivotal role in delivering environmentally conscious solutions for education establishments, while also helping to reduce total cost of ownership with energy saving opportunities and extended product lifetimes.

Connecting with the features built into the hardware of Philips Professional Displays, PPDS Wave allows managers to use power scheduling for their displays to automatically power down when not in use, for instance outside of core school hours. Brightness can be adjusted intelligently, based on the lighting conditions, again supporting energy savings and extended product lifetimes.

Atul Jasra, India Business Head at PPDS, commented: “We are delighted to be making our debut at DIDAC 2023, taking the opportunity to showcase just some of our innovations helping to bring transformational change to classrooms and campuses around the world for more engaged and inspired learning,”

He continued: “On the back of the pandemic, investment and adoption of new technologies to create ‘smarter classrooms’ has grown exponentially, with forecasts valuing the smart classroom market in India at $16.11 billion by 2026. This presents significant opportunities for us to support our partners and customers with an ever-growing and evolving portfolio of dedicated solutions, built either in-house or in collaboration with our global network of complementary hardware and software partners, to give current and future generations the tools they need to be their best into the future. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand in Bengaluru.”
