MiPhi Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three prestigious institutions in South India — Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Coimbatore), Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology, and Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (Kerala).

These collaborations mark a new chapter in MiPhi’s mission to empower the next generation of Indian engineers and technologists with intelligent and future-ready hardware and software solutions. By aligning with academia, MiPhi is taking its commitment to national development and talent-building. Further, MiPhi will also offer students an opportunity to gain first-hand experience with cutting-edge technologies through it dedicated internship program.

“These collaborations go far beyond research—it’s about empowering the next generation of innovators and preparing them to lead in an AI-driven world,” said Prasad Balakrishnan, CEO, MiPhi Semiconductors. It’s about contributing meaningfully to nation-building and accelerating India’s AI mission and larger journey toward technological self-reliance. Together with these leading Universities, we’re committed to building a strong AI-hardware ecosystem that cultivates talent, fuels innovation, and delivers scalable, IP-led solutions—Designed and Made in India, for India and the world.”

Further he added “At MiPhi, we believe India’s future lies in the hands of its young talent. By bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, we aim to cultivate a skilled workforce ready to lead the AI and semiconductor in revolution in India for the world,”

As part of the MoU, the partnership will include:

  • Joint research in AI-enabled hardware systems, such as smart storage, intelligent switches, and edge servers.

  • Testing and prototyping using MiPhi’s aiDaptiv+ solutions and hardware ecosystem.

  • Workshops, expert sessions, and live projects to deepen practical understanding of AI, semiconductors, and next-gen technologies.

  • Collaborative participation in government and industry R&D initiatives.

Recently, MiPhi joined hands with the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS)—a premier tri-services think tank under the Indian Ministry of Defence—to establish a Chair of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The chair will serve as a catalyst for transformative research and policy innovation across India’s evolving defense and semiconductor landscape. The partnership signals a major leap forward in the country’s journey toward full-scale indigenous production of advanced memory chips—designed and made in India, for India, powered by advanced intelligence.

The brand’s recent partnerships reflect its long-term vision: to not only Design and Make in India, but also to Invest in India’s intellectual capital, ensuring the country emerges as a global leader in advanced hardware and AI innovation.
